The new curriculum reform advocates the combination of teachers' leading role and students' subject position in teaching.One of the important manifestations of students' subjectivity is their active participation in class.It is of great significance to study the relationship between the teaching characteristics of teachers and the participation of students in class.This paper studied the current situation of students' participation in physics class in junior high school and the teaching style of different physics teachers,then discussed the relationship between them.Through classroom observation and student interviews,it is concluded that physics teachers of junior high school have four teaching styles: the style of being democratic and relaxed,the style of being serious and pragmatic,the style of being profound and intelligent,the style of being enthusiastic and skilled.This paper investigated the current situation of students' participation in physics class in junior high school through the self-compiled questionnaire on students' participation in physics class in junior high school,and analyzed the influence of teachers' teaching style on students' participation.The results were as follows:(1)As a whole,students' participation in physics class in junior high school were active,and behavioral participation was the highest,cognitive participation was the second,and emotional participation was the lowest.(2)There were no gender differences in the three dimensions as a whole,but the single component analysis found that only the sense of success had gender difference.(3)There was a significant correlation between students' participation and their academic performance.(4)Teachers' teaching style has influence on students' behavioral and emotional participation,but has no obvious impact on students' cognitive participation.In behavioral participation,students' listening and interaction are influenced by teachers' teaching style.In the listening situation,teachers' enthusiasm can promote students to listen carefully.If teachers are too loose,students' participation in listening will be reduced.In the interactive situation,teachers' positive emotions can improve students' interactive level,while teachers with serious classroom atmosphere and plain language would reduce the level of students' interactive participation.In students' emotional participation,teachers' teaching style has influence on students' sense of fun,sense of success,anxiety and boredom in learning physics.For the sense of fun,the students' sense of fun of teachers who are democratic,have various teaching forms and are good at using humorous skills will be higher.For the sense of success,if teachers have a certain sense of competition and pay attention to skills and strategies,students' sense of success will be improved.For anxiety,if teachers neglect the guidance of learning skills and encourage students rarely,it will lead to higher anxiety among students.For boredom,teachers can reduce students' boredom by teaching humorously and paying attention to the practical connection.If teachers are too serious in teaching,lay emphasis on the cultivation of problem-solving ability and procrastinate in class,it will easily lead to students' low level of positive emotional participation and high level of negative emotions.These research results have certain guiding significance for teaching practice.Finally,some teaching suggestions were put forward based on the research results.
