With the continuous expansion of the scale of higher education in China,the master graduate group is gradually losing its former glory.In 2020,the Ministry of Education issued a notice to further expand the enrollment scale of postgraduate students.At the same time,due to the continuous "heat of finance and economics",the number of master graduates of finance and economics is increasing year by year.In 2018,the number of master graduates of finance and economics exceeded 100000 for the first time,while the number of master students of finance and economics at school reached about 450000.In addition,in the process of job selection and employment,the phenomenon that the employability of master graduates of finance and economics can not meet the requirements of employers happens from time to time.For master graduates of finance and economics,only by understanding their own status of employability and influence factors accurately can they improve their employability effectively.In this context,this study focuses on the employability and influence factors of master graduates of finance and economics.Based on the in-depth analysis and collation of domestic and foreign literature related to this topic,this paper makes an interview and investigation on master graduates of finance and economics,managers of employers and relevant staff of government and university,and determines the elements of employability and influence factors of employability.The elements of employability include career planning ability,professional ability,personal management ability,communication ability,team cooperation ability and vocational ethics.In the mean while,the influence factors of employability include academic input,activity participation,specialties setup,employment guidance and teacher resources.Based on this,a questionnaire was designed.On the basis of descriptive statistical analysis,reliability and validity analysis,cluster analysis and chi square analysis were used to analyze the status and differences of employability.At the same time,this paper uses multiple linear regression model to explore the main influence factors and influence degree in employability of master graduates of finance and economics.Finally,this paper draws a conclusion and puts forward practical and effective policy recommendations.The results show that: first,the overall employability of master graduates of finance and economics is above the middle level,but still 21.6% of master graduates of finance and economics are "weak employability".Second,in the specific dimensions,career planning ability score is the lowest,and vocational ethics score is the highest.Third,different cluster samples show differences in four aspects: the location of household registration,graduation time,political outlook,and whether they have served as student cadres in higher education.Fourth,among all the factors that affect the employability,activity participation is the most critical one,which has a significant impact on the six employability,and the degree of influence is higher.Fifth,the academic input and teacher resources have significant influence on most dimensions of employability,and the degree of influence is relatively higher.Sixthly,specialties setup and employment guidance have a significant impact on some dimensions of employability,and the degree of influence is relatively lower.In view of the above conclusions,it is suggested that the master graduates of finance and economics should actively participate in various activities inside and outside the university,and improve their knowledge reserve.The university should strengthen the construction of teachers and improve the employment guidance system.Employers should provide more internships and further deepen cooperation with universities.On the one hand,the government should strengthen policy support,on the other hand,it should improve four-level education.In addition,we should learn from the foreign developed countries in improving employability and optimizing the employment service system.Through the measures above,the master graduates of finance and economics will improve their employability effectively,so as to promote high-quality and full employment.
