Spatiality is the basic characteristic of geography,and spatial thinking is the basic way of thinking for us to study and learn geography.Both common senior high school geography curriculum standards(2003)and common senior high school geography curriculum standards(2017)require the geospatial thoughts,and the standard is constantly improving.At the same time,no matter in the students' life,daily study,or even in the students' exams,everything is the reflection of this discipline.As an important part of geographical literacy,scholars have done a lot of research on the cultivation measures of geospatial literacy.But the researches mainly focus on 3S field and cultivation measures,and there are few researches on formation mechanism and process.Therefore,the paper will focus on the development mechanism of geospatial literacy of high school students and the approach to cultivate geospatial literacy of students based on its formation mechanism.The article focuses on exploring the characteristics of geospatial literacy,the formation mechanism and the cultivation approach,and uses Chengdu as an example to design a teaching case for cultivating students' geospatial literacy.First:By discussing the relationship between geospatial literacy and four core literacy;the relationship between geospatial literacy and practical situations;the relationship between geospatial literacy and student's development,the paper concludes 3 basic characteristics of geospatial literacy: extensiveness,mobility and sustainability.Secondly:Based on the characteristics of geographic space and students' cognitive development,paper puts forward the formation mechanism of geospatial literacy of se high school students: cognition-transformation mechanism,interaction-integration mechanism,extensive-application mechanism,and analyzes its formation process in detail.Then:Based on the formation mechanism of geospatial literacy,the paper explores the cultivation of geospatial literacy in the form of cases,mainly including the cultivation of students' geospatial by case analysis,including the ability of geographical cognition,the geospatial thinking and the capacity of geospatial practical.Last,based on the topic about "urban interior spatial structure" and "Desertification Prevention" in the geography textbook of senior high school,made a teaching design,which is in order to achieve the goal of cultivating students' geospatial literacy.
