High school mathematics is not only the extension of junior high school mathematics,but also the basis of senior high school mathematics and university mathematics,so it has its unique characteristics in the period of mathematics learning.Therefore,the quality of students' mathematics learning in the first period of high school has a profound impact on students' mathematics learning in the future.In this paper,through the way of questionnaire and interview,we investigate the current situation of mathematics learning of freshmen under the new curriculum standard.The main research contents are as follows:First of all,take the students of two experimental classes in the first grade of the internship school as the research object,mainly for the changes of students' scores after entering high school,learning adaptability and other issues to carry out a questionnaire survey,and then use SPSS,Excel software for statistical analysis of the survey results.The analysis results show that the freshmen generally feel that the difficulty of mathematics in high school has been greatly improved,and their academic performance has declined.Some students have difficulties in learning.At the same time,to some extent,the new living environment and other external factors also affect students' learning state.Facing the different teaching methods of senior high school teachers,most students say they can adapt well.However,due to the high school curriculum,some students can not effectively allocate time.Secondly,take the first grade mathematics teachers as the object to interview the teaching problems.The results show that the school has been setting up the connecting courses for several years.It can be seen that the school and the teachers still pay more attention to the connecting problems of the freshmen in the first year of senior high school.Most teachers are also aware of the difficulties that freshmen in senior high school encounter in their mathematics learning.Teachers also attach great importance to the mental health of Freshmen in senior high school.They think that only students' mental health can put more attention on learning.But some high school mathematics teachers are not familiar with the curriculum standard of junior high school.Some teachers think it is necessary to strengthen the communication among the mathematics teachers in the junior and senior high schools.Finally,in view of the problems existing in the process of mathematics learning of the freshmen in senior high school and the shortcomings existing in the teaching of mathematics teachers in senior high school,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: first,teachers should pay attention to improving students' interest in learning mathematics,help students develop good learning habits,and be good teachers and friends of students;second,teachers should constantly improve their subject teaching knowledge and pay attention to teaching;Third,the school should set up mental health lectures to help freshmen adapt to their high school lives as soon as possible.
