At present,there is no uniform definition of competency,the concept of "competency" that the candidate mainly refer to proposed by McClelland,combined with the research of many scholars at home and abroad.The connotation of individual competence is summarized as the deep characteristics of individuals who distinguish the distinguished achievers from the ordinary in a particular job,which is directly or closely related to work,work performance,or other important achievements in life as a knowledge,skill,ability,trait or motivation.The research object of this study are the science of education graduate students in the school,whose competency is the relevant knowledge and skills and personality traits to attain the level of master's degree.As an important part of the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new period,the science of education graduate students are not only the educated people now,are also the future preachers.Studying the competency is of great significance for the development of Chinese education career,and it has profound significance for the cultivation of the science of education graduate students.This research adopts the questionnaire as the main survey method,which is assisted by the interview.Based on DingJie's graduate students competency model,the research starts from three dimensions including related discipline knowledge,ability and skills,personality and characteristics,combined with three perspectives including training units,employing units and science of education graduate students themselves to study science of education graduates' problem reasons of competency.The survey found that few computer courses were offered in universities and no specialized career planning courses are included in the course selection;In the professional knowledge,few students think thatthey are fully qualified for the education graduate student requirements.More over,the graduates with utility is more common,and the data processing ability and professional practice ability are not strong.The curiosity is not enough,the spirit of helping others and the ability of action are not strong;With high standards of professional knowledge,enterprises pay special attention to the professional practice ability and problem solving ability of graduate students.The competency that enterprises requiring is different from competency cultivation of universities and the professional competency of graduate students.Some small companies have an unclear role,with a limited number of interns each year.Therefore,the candidate conclude the following reasons.First of all,the curriculum of universities is not reasonable;the goals are too many for students and the orientation is lower.Secondly,the science of education graduate students have no specific career planning and relevant employment guidance courses;there is a deviation in the job competency,which does not match with the target of the university training and the requirements of the employer.In the process of job hunting,the students utilitarian is stronger and the mentality is poor and so on;Thirdly,some employers have not yet formed a human resource management mechanism,and there is no training of employment ability runs through the whole process of graduate training.The internships they provide are not enough for graduate students.Then,this research starts from three aspects including the training unit,employing unit and science of education graduate students themselves.Aiming at the problems above,the candidate puts forward the strategies for the cultivation of the competency of Chinese education master.Firstly,the educational ministry should formulate a clear and specific competency system and innovate a training mode;Secondly,universities should elaborate curriculum system,reform teaching methods,figure out the target orientation and encourage teachers to urge and guide the students;Thirdly,The employing unit shall improve the human resources department and optimize the employment environment,Strengthen the links with universities to provide more internship opportunities;Fourthly,science of education graduate students should be familiar with training programs of university and ministry,and study hard at the same.They should define career planning,Strengthen ideological andmoral construction,and adjust the state of mind.Finally,combined with the successful experience of the United States,Britain,Australia and other western countries on the competency of graduate students,relevant suggestions are put forward.
