The knowledge reserve and development level of urban agglomeration is very important to the social and economic development of the region where the city is located, and also the key to improve the regional knowledge network structure. Therefore,it is necessary to study the knowledge network of urban agglomeration. On the basis of combing the related research of knowledge network, this study firstly collects the number of pairwise cooperation papers among 13 cities in Jing-Jin-Ji Urban Agglomeration in 2008,2012 and 2016,and the number of pairwise cooperation papers among 26 cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and uses ArcGIS software to conduct geospatial analysis of the above data, and compares and analyzes the internal knowledge network of the two urban agglomerations in 2008-2016 The evolution characteristics of the time and space of the collaterals.Secondly, using UCINET software for social network analysis, the paper analyzes the network density of knowledge network of Beijing Tianjin Hebei and Yangtze River Delta,as well as the network center city and edge city. Finally, the knowledge network of the two urban agglomerations is compared, and the knowledge connection between the two urban agglomerations is studied and analyzed. The results are as follows:(1)The scale of knowledge network of Jing-Jin-Ji Urban Agglomeration has been growing rapidly in 2008-2016,while the scale of knowledge network of Yangtze River Delta has also been growing, but the growth rate in 2012-2016 is less than that in 2008-2012.(2)The knowledge network of Jing-Jin-Ji Urban Agglomeration is a knowledge network with the knowledge connection between Beijing and the surrounding cities as the main body, especially between Beijing and Shijiazhuang,Beijing and Tianjin, which has always maintained a strong knowledge connection, but the knowledge connection between other cities is relatively weak;while the multi center structure of the knowledge network of the Yangtze River Delta is becoming more and more obvious, which gradually develops to Shanghai,Nanjing,Hangzhou,Hefei as the core,Yancheng,Nantong,Ningbo as the secondary center of knowledge network.(3)As the core cities of Beijing Tianjin Hebei and Yangtze River Delta,Beijing and Shanghai have the strongest ability of knowledge creation. In addition, the knowledge creation ability of Nanjing,Hangzhou,Suzhou,Tianjin and Hefei has been at a high level in 2008-2016,while that of Hengshui,Xuancheng,Chizhou and Tongling has been at a low level. But on the other hand,Tangshan,Qinhuangdao,Xingtai,Chengde and Cangzhou of Jing-Jin-Ji Urban Agglomeration,Changzhou,Nantong,Zhenjiang,Huzhou,Ma'anshan,Xuancheng and Chizhou of Yangtze River Delta have not the strongest knowledge creation ability, but they are in the process of continuous progress and have development potential.(4)Based on the correlation analysis of the total output of urban papers and the amount of cooperation within the urban agglomeration,it is concluded that the stronger the scientific research ability of the city is,the stronger the knowledge cooperation ability with other cities is,and the cooperation within the urban agglomeration is of great significance to the improvement of the scientific research level of the city itself.(5)Among the knowledge networks between Jing-Jin-Ji and Yangtze River Delta,Beijing and Shanghai,Beijing and Nanjing,Beijing and Suzhou,Beijing and Hangzhou,Beijing and Hefei, these five groups have the strongest knowledge links, and the knowledge links among other cities are also growing, which shows that the links between the two city clusters in North China and East China are getting closer, which helps to promote the level of scientific research between different regions in China High.
