Forty years since the reform and opening-up,China's economy has made great achievements, and the role of migrants cannot be ignored. In addition, the Yangtze River Delta Region is one of China's important economic regions, contributing nearly a quarter of the country's GDP,and plays a pivotal role in China's national economy, especially after the integration of the Yangtze River Delta into a national strategy. The effect becomes more and more obvious,so it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the population migration in the Yangtze River Delta. The biggest difference between this study and previous studies is the choice of time interval. This paper selects the population migration data and economic and social development data of the latest five years(2013-2017),which has a very high timeliness. At present,China's economic and social development is rapid. With the continuous deepening of reforms, the national economy will undergo great changes in about three years. If we still consider the current population migration from the previous point of view,it will not be interpretable and applicable.Especially after 2012,socialism with Chinese characteristics construction entered a new era.The report of the Nineteenth National Congress also mentioned that the main contradictions in our society have changed. What are the spatial distribution characteristics of population migration in the Yangtze River Delta under the New Era and the impact behind migration what are the new changes in factors? Existing research cannot give a satisfactory explanation, which is exactly the significance of this article. This article takes 41 prefecture-level cities in three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta Region as the research object.First,it analyzes the spatial characteristics of the net immigrants in the Yangtze River Delta Region in 2017,and compares the spatial characteristics of 2017 and 2007.The study found that the spatial distribution of the net immigrants in the Yangtze River Delta Region showed an agglomeration effect, mainly in Shanghai,Suzhou,Wuxi,Hangzhou,Ningbo,Nanjing and other large cities.Over time, the agglomeration effect gradually increased, reflecting the law of migration of "Matthew Effect" was developed. Then set up an index system of factors affecting population migration, use principal component analysis to perform dimensionality reduction processing, and then perform multivariate panel data regression analysis to obtain the main factors affecting population migration. The empirical results show that the population migration in the Yangtze River Delta Region under the background of the New Era is no longer affected only by wages and disposable income. The effects of regional economic strength, social security level, education and medical care, and living environment are becoming more and more obvious. In terms of comparison of influencing factors of population migration in the triangle and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, population migration in the Yangtze River Delta Region is more sensitive to the local education level, living environment, transportation convenience, and development of the tertiary industry. This may be related to the comprehensive economic strength of the major cities in the Yangtze River Delta Region in the forefront of the country, the higher proportion of tertiary industry in GDP,the emphasis on scientific and technological innovation in the Yangtze River Delta Region, and the high internal transport convenience in the Yangtze River Delta Region. Finally,we put forward suggestions based on the actual development and future development trends of the Yangtze River Delta Region. The government should pay more attention to non-income factors such as social security benefits and livability when formulating floating population policies. In addition, the impact of ecological and environmental factors should not be tolerated. It is also necessary to ignore and pay attention to ecological environment protection and sustainable development.
