In order to cultivate international health talents and improve the competitiveness of the school,many secondary health schools on the one hand strengthen the development of medical disciplines,but also more vigorously strengthen the construction of English teachers,training personnel reserve.However,due to historical reasons and the multiplicity of talent team construction although have made some harvest,it is still necessary to solve some problems.If we want to achieve the teaching innovating of secondary health schools and development it,and want to make the school meet the requirements of modern society,so at present to effectively enhance the vocational ability,level of instruction and academic standards of English teachers,and to establish a "double qualified" English teachers team with high quality,good at many things and expert in one,and international vision,is necessary.It explores the current status,troubles and causes of the construction of "double qualified" English teachers,and probes into the policies to iron out the problems.The employers,graduates in recent three years,students in the third year and English teachers of five secondary health schools in Sichuan Province,have completed the questionnaires.It is found that the professional English ability of secondary health school graduates cannot meet the needs of employers,low capacity of "double qualified" English teachers reduces students' ability of medical English.So,reinforcing the construction of "double qualified" English teachers is needed,in secondary health schools.For a better understanding of the current status of the building of "double qualified" English teachers,some related personals have been made to complete questionnaires and interviews;and then summarizing the relevant data from threepoints: the structure,the system building and professional quality of double qualified English teachers,in secondary health schoolsThe main problems in the building of "double qualified" English teachers,are: the number is small and the structure is unscientific of "double qualified" English teachers;the relevant system is not perfect;the professional quality of "double qualified" English teachers are low.And from the school,English teachers,students,enterprises and hospitals,four aspects of the causes are analyzed: for schools,the relevant planning is unreasonable;The system of professional title promotion is unscientific;Insufficient attention has been paid to the construction of "double qualified" English teachers;The introduction channel of "double qualified" English teachers is single;for English teachers,the sense of professional honor is low,and the awareness of the importance of the construction of "double qualified" English teachers is insufficient;for students: low quality,poor English foundation and learning habits,low learning enthusiasm;In the aspect of enterprises and hospitals,there are few practical opportunities for school teachers,and too few front-line experts and backbones sent to the school for guidance and part-time courses.Based on the investigation and analysis of the troubles and causation,in the construction of "double qualified" English teachers in secondary health schools,it puts forward that the school should make overall planning for the construction of "double qualified" English teachers,formulate relevant systems,introduce English teachers from multiple channels,actively introduce "double qualified" English teachers from enterprises,and reasonably set up professional English courses.It is necessary to enhance the sense of professional identity,put the qualification of "double qualified" English teachers into the career development plan,actively participate in training,actively practice in enterprises and hospitals,so as to effectively enhance their practical teaching ability;actively to be a "double qualified" English teachers;to effectively enhance students' English ability.It is hoped that these suggestions can contribute to promote the "double qualified" English teachers in secondary health schools.
