The article opens with an introduction to the important position of verification in the chip industry and the huge technological gap between verification and design today.There is an urgent need to improve the verification technology,and the research status of SOC system on chip is summarized.Then it mainly explains the platform structure,incentive structure and verification methods of the UVM verification methodology used in this article.In the article,three examples are used to complete the construction of the verification platform,and a reusable one is constructed through the timing characteristics and signal characteristics of the three peripherals on the SOC chip.Automated verification platform[1].In today's society,the chip industry has become an important industry that affects the national economy and people's livelihood,and has become a key factor in the game between big countries.The rapid development of integrated circuits means that the circuit scale is greatly increased and the circuit logic is more abundant,and the increase in circuit scale also requires higher verification.For the verification of a large SOC system-on-chip,the traditional verification methods must be improved to ensure the correctness of the design.The efficiency of verification and the completeness of verification are now the most critical step in chip design and production.The verification work mainly includes the following three aspects:First,build a reusable and high-efficiency UVM verification platform for the SOC system on a consumable printer;second,use the characteristics of the module to be verified to carry out the structure of excitation,including directional testing and random testing The combined program.Third,improve function coverage and code coverage.The final verification results show that the design features of the SOC system-on-chip peripherals are fully covered,and the designed verification method can effectively complete the verification of the target SOC system-on-chip peripherals.Next,this article shows the results of the verification work by showing the verification report,shows the correctness of the verification platform through simulation logs and simulation waveforms,and explains the completeness of verification through code coverage and functional coverage,and verifies the reusability of the platform through UVM,To demonstrate the efficiency of verification work.At the end of the article,the verification work carried out by the adopted UVM verification method is evaluated,combined with the characteristics of UVM,and the traditional verification methods are compared with traditional verification methods from three perspectives:the reusability of the verification platform,the time saved by verification,and the comprehensiveness of verification function points.The comparison shows that UVM verification methodology can better complete the verification of SOC peripheral modules[2]..
