Research On Targeted Poverty Alleviation Of Insurance In Yanling County

As the clarion call for targeted poverty alleviation gets louder and louder,and the roads go further,China has become the country with the largest number of people in poverty reduction in the world.Meanwhile,it is the first country to complete the UN Millennium Development Goals.China's targeted poverty alleviation started in Hunan where a few remote areas are in poverty still.Among them,a typical one is Yanling County,Zhuzhou City.As one of China's revolutionary bases,it has sufficient necessity and special significance for studying targeted poverty alleviation path.This paper firstly studies the related theories to expound the theoretical foundation and feasibility of insurance participation in targeted poverty alleviation.And then relevant insurance poverty alleviation models are summarized through the exploration of typical cases in Ningxia,Jiangxi,Henan and Heilongjiang province.After that,relevant data and facts are obtained through the questionnaire survey on the residents of Yanling County and on-site interviews.It turns out that residents in Yanling County only have a low level of economic development and the main workforce is not well educated.At this stage,Yanling is striving to create the pattern of "one belt and eight bases" featured agricultural industry,But it only has a general level of insurance coverage.Except for serious illness insurance,the coverage of other insurances is still low.Finally,according to the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP),relevant experts are invited to score and rank their main poverty-reducing and poverty-reducing factors.The main poverty-causing factors in Yanling County are poverty due to illness,learning and disaster.At the same time,poverty alleviation policy,geographical location and the education level of the workforce are also the main reasons for the residents to become poor and return to poverty.This article puts targeting measures to adjust poverty for insurance in Yanling County.It can provide basic risk protection for poor households by adapting agricultural insurance,sickness insurance,small loan guarantee insurance and accidental injury insurance.And the government should allocate funds for poverty alleviation and increase the cooperation of commercial insurance companies.Besides,insurance companies should take the initiative to assume their social responsibilities,and cooperate with the government actively in the implementation of relevant poverty alleviation measures.Moreover,within the scope of affordable,insurance companies should jointly set up poverty alleviation funds and be accurately used in various poverty alleviation projects.
