Since the state Council issued the Plan " made in China 2025",the road of manufacturing transformation and upgrading has received more and more attention.at the same time,building a powerful manufacturing giant has also become a strategic goal.Under this background,many scholars began to explore ways to build a " powerful manufacturing giant".among them,promoting the development of manufacturing service is considered to be an effective strategic choice.The service-oriented manufacturing industry is a change in the business logic of manufacturing enterprises,from product-centered to service-centered.at the same time,the added value of manufacturing enterprises' output is increased.the value comes not only from products,but also from services and integrated solutions customized for customers.The transformation of manufacturing service is mainly reflected in two levels: from the perspective of the industrial chain,service requires manufacturing enterprises to develop and design upstream and market downstream from the processing and manufacturing links in the middle reaches of the industrial chain.Links such as after—sales support have been extended to increase service items,expand service scope,upgrade manufacturing industry,and promote the transformation from " made in China" to " created in China".From the perspective of value chain,service can increase the added value of products and services,increase profit,and promote manufacturing enterprises to climb from the low end to the high end,which is helpful for manufacturing enterprisesto successfully complete theupgrading of industrial structure.This paper sorts out the domestic and foreign literatures about manufacturing service,redefines the concept of manufacturing service according to the existing theories and the research needs of this paper,and sorts out the relevant literatures about the performance impact of manufacturing service.In the part of empirical analysis,this paper takes Guangdong provinceas an analysis sample.On the one hand,through the calculation of the input—output table data of Guangdong province in 2007,2010,2012 and 2015,the direct consumption coefficient and the complete consumption coefficient are obtained,and the input—service level is measured by this.the efficiency of the manufacturing industry is measured by the added value rate and the operating surplus.the preliminary analysis of the relationship between the two shows that the input—service level is positively correlated with the production efficiency of the industry.On the other hand,this paper uses the proportion of non—operating income to total income in the financial data of listed manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong province from 2006 to 2015 to measure the level of output service,ROE and profitability to measure the level of enterprise performance.after empirical analysis of the relationship between the two,it is concluded that the level of output service in manufacturing industry is approximately positively correlated with the level of enterprise performance.The degree of influence of service and level on performance of manufacturing enterprises in different industries and different natures is different.The research on service—oriented manufacturing industry in this paper tracks the latest theories at present.at the same time,the results of empirical analysis have certain reference significance for service—oriented manufacturing industry in Guangdong province.
