The thesis provides an analysis export competitiveness of agriculture sector in Kazakhstan.Agriculture sector plays an essential role of every country's economy.This becomes obvious that with an increasing the number of population in the world,the state with the ability to export food become the most successful and influential in the world market.This thesis investigates the patterns,the extent and the changes of export competitiveness agriculture sector in Kazakhstan over the period 2006-2016.In particular,it tends to analyze the relative trade advantages(respectively disadvantages)of agriculture commodities in Kazakhstan for the period of 10 years(2006-2016).The thesis sheds light on the application and estimation of the three indices such as Revealed Comparative Advantages,Revealed Trade Advantages and Symmetric Revealed Comparative Advantages,using several steps.The major findings reveal that Kazakhstan's agricultural products are in general not competitive on the World market.However,some agricultural products have a revealed comparative export advantage in particular a group of products,such as cereals wheat and meslin,barley,wheat and meslin flour as well as oilseeds and sunflower seeds,for majority of them the extent of the comparative advantage is strong.Furthermore,a regression analysis is used in the work.The results depicts that agricultural employment,exchange rate and WTO memberships are positively associated with comparative advantage,while GDP,GDP per capita and arable land have negative effects on the export competitiveness of agricultural products.Also,in the work has been used the stability comparative advantages,in order to investigate that there have been trade changes of the country,or a state of convergence.The main findings point out the state of convergence for Kazakhstan as 0<?<1,meaning that the agricultural trade patterns have been notably changed as well as a weakened specialization in agricultural trade for the analyzed period of ten years.In terms of persistence of the revealed comparative advantage,Kazakhstan has a decreasing tendency.Finally,the evaluation is made on Kazakhstan's opportunity to enhance its export competitiveness on agriculture sector,which is essential the government's strategic initiative to diversify its economy and minimize its dependence on mineral and fossil fuel resources.
