Human color perception is expressed and fixed by natural language,which is the color words in natural language.The teaching of color words is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language vocabulary.From the color words,we can see the culture behind the language.By using the methods of literature reading,questionnaire and comparative study,this paper analyzes the meanings of six basic color words in modern Chinese dictionary,namely white,black,red,yellow,blue and green,and points out that white means light,nothing is added,no effect,reactionary symbol,funeral symbol and other 14 kinds of meanings.Black has said dark,hidden,illegal,vicious,bad and other five senses;Red has said festival,symbol of success,symbol of revolution and other 12 senses;Huang has said noble,solemn,imperial power,things failed,content pornography and other eight senses;Blue has three meanings,such as the basis for the development of things;Green has said environmental protection,passage,permission,his wife was having an affair and other four senses.On this basis,the author analyzes the teaching requirements and teaching material arrangement of color words,and finds that all the six basic color words appeared in the new practical Chinese textbook,but the teaching of color words is still not paid enough attention to.According to the questionnaire survey conducted in Shandong university of science and technology,the author points out that the reasons for the lack of cultural meaning of color words in zero foundation,primary stage and intermediate stage are mainly three aspects: the variety and complexity of Chinese color words,the insufficient attention to color words in the teaching process and the students' own factors,while the teaching of color words should pay attention to the teaching in stages,the emphasis on cultural comparison,the use of common teaching,intensive speaking and practice of three principles.In view of this,the author tries to put forward three interesting teaching methods of basic color words in zero-based stage,namely,color holding,color squatting,swatting flies;Two primary teaching methods,namely,presentation method and situational method.Two intermediate stage teaching methods,namely knowledge tree summary method,culture comparison method.I hope it can provide some reference for the teaching of color words in zero-basis,primary and middle-level students.This paper is divided into six parts,as follows:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the research significance,research summary,research content and methods.The second part is the first chapter of the article,exploring the number of basic colorwords and analyzing the grammatical function of color words.The third part is the second chapter of the article,mainly sorting out and classifying the meanings of basic color words in modern Chinese dictionary(seventh edition).The fourth part is the third chapter of the article,which is also the focus and core of this article.It introduces the investigation and analysis of color words,and summarizes the degree of students' mastery of color words in different stages.The fifth part is the fourth chapter of the article,based on the color word survey results put forward teaching suggestions and teaching reference.The sixth part is the conclusion.
