The translation material is excerpted from The Mind of the Criminal :the Role of Developmental Social Cognition in Criminal Defense Law written by Reid Griffith Fontaine,which is published in 2012.There are six chapters in the book,and the translator selects the second chapter as the task of translation practice.This chapter elaborates the relationship between social cognition and antisocial behavior from the perspective of theory and science.The translation task was described in this translation practice report,including the source of the material,the author and the meaning of the topic.Then the translation process was elaborated.According to the problems in the process of translation,the translator analyzes the translation from two aspects: translation of technical terms and coherent translation of semantic cohesion through methods such as augmentation,translation,decimation,word selection,part of speech conversion and word meaning extension.And summed up the experience and lessons of this translation practice.
