As there is no condition and environment for the simultaneous development of Chinese language and thinking,the relationship between Chinese verbs is very complicated for CSL learners,which is easy to cause the misuse of verbs.Moreover,the confusion of CSL learners with different language backgrounds is different.Therefore,it is particularly important to adopt different teaching methods and teaching contents for CSL learners with different language backgrounds.At present,the research on the specific confusable words of English background CSL learners is mainly to explore the influence factors of their mother tongue,but there is a lack of research on the confusable characteristics of English background CSL learners' specific confusable words,and the learners of English background CSL make relatively high errors in acquiring verbs.Based on this,this paper intends to explore the specific confounding verbs of CSL learners,and analyze the confounding characteristics,influencing factors and textbook dictionary arrangement.Chapter one mainly makes a statistical comparison of verb acquisition corpus of HSK dynamic composition corpus for CSL learners with five native language backgrounds:English,Japanese,Korean,Thai and Indonesian.We obtain 108 groups of specific confusable verb pairs of English background CSL learners.Then,the confusion characteristics are investigated from three aspects:interlexical relation,misuse direction and semantic relation.The results show that English background CSL learners are mainly confused by "one-to-one confusion","one-way misuse",and semantic confusion.Chapter two mainly explores the influencing factors of the specific confusable verbs of English background CSL learners.In this paper,we investigate 108 groups of the specific confusable verbs of English background CSL learners,and analyze the influencing factors from three aspects:mother tongue,target language and teacher teaching.The result shows that the influence factors of mother tongue have the greatest influence on the specific confusion of CSL learners,among which the main influence factors are the semantic mispromotion of mother tongue and the semantic domain mispromotion of mother tongue.Secondly,there are the influence factors of target language,among which the phenomenon of target language parallelism is the main reason for the confusion of English background CSL learners.There is little influence of teaching factors and learners' own factors.Chapter three mainly examines the arrangement of specific confusable verb pairs in textbooks and dictionaries.This paper mainly examines the arrangement of verbs in textbooks from three aspects:semantics,grammar and pragmatics,and the arrangement of dictionaries from two aspects interpretation and examples.It is found that the explanation of verbs in the selected textbooks is mainly semantic and lacks the introduction of the grammar and pragmatic kinetic energy of verbs.The semantic interpretation is mainly based on the English interpretation of the translated words without specific meaning.As for the arrangement of Chinese dictionaries for foreign languages,there is still a great shortage both in quantity and quality.Secondly,most of the dictionary definitions and examples of verbs are from the perspective of Chinese native speakers.Based on the investigation of the arrangement,this paper provides some suggestions on the compilation of English-Chinese textbooks,the development of dictionaries and the teaching of verbs,and points out that the definition of verbs in textbooks which should be strengthened to introduce the grammar and pragmatic functions of verbs,and the definition of verbs in English should be specific to the meaning.Compared with the previous inquiries which only explore the mother tongue influence factors of the specific confusable verbs of English background CSL learners,this paper try to explore the specific verbs' confusing characteristics and influence factors of English background CSL learners.The previous suggestions only focus on textbook arrangement and teachers'teaching.This paper adds an investigation on dictionary arrangement and puts forward corresponding suggestions.
