Research On The Path To Promote The Improvement And Development Of Confucius Institutes In Africa

It has been fourteen years since the establishment of the Confucius Institute of Nairobi University,the first African Confucius Institute.By June 2019,the number of Confucius Institutes in Africa had reached 59,covering 44 African countries on the African continent.Confucius Institute has become an important platform window for African students to learn Chinese and understand China.Especially with the promotion of China's "One Belt and One Road" initiative,the exchanges between China and Africa in political,cultural and economic fields have become more and more close.As an important platform for spreading Chinese culture in Africa,Confucius Institute plays a more bridging role.Highlights.However,compared with Confucius Institutes in Europe,America and other regions,African Confucius Institutes still have various problems,such as fragmentation of layout,lack of local teachers,single teaching mode,etc.These problems restrict the further development of African Confucius Institutes to a certain extent.Therefore,it is necessary for African Confucius Institutes in the new era.To explore the path of construction and development in order to better seize the opportunity of warming China-Africa friendship.In terms of writing ideas,the author first summarizes the current situation of Confucius Institutes in Africa and the role of Confucius Institutes in Africa.Then,based on the overall situation in Africa,the author analyses the problems and their sources in the development of Confucius Institutes from a macro perspective.Finally,the author analyses the problems from the national,media and Confucius Institutes themselves.Four dimensions,such as Chinese associations,put forward relevant suggestions and strategies for the development path of Confucius Institutes in the new era.In the research methods of the paper,the author chooses literature research method,interdisciplinary method and survey method to analyze the paper as a whole.
