In the context of the global Chinese fever,the number of Confucius classrooms at Confucius Institutes continues to grow.The Confucius Institute of Zagreb University in Croatia has made good progress in the past seven years since the Confucius Institute of Zagreb University of Croatia officially started operation on July 21,2011.At the same time,Confucius Institute of Zagreb University also faces some problems and challenges in the course of the development of Chinese teaching.In view of the various problems and challenges found,and in order to develop the Confucius Institute continuously and healthily,this paper combines with the actual situation of Confucius Institute of Zagreb University,from the perspective of students' learning needs and learning attitude.The curriculum,the use of teaching materials,the development of teaching activities,the way of assessment of achievements,etc.,are mainly carried out by means of questionnaires,interviews,field visits,observation,and other methods,such as finding problems and solving problems.In order to provide reference and help for the future sustainable development of Confucius Institute of Zagreb University.The full text is divided into the following parts:The first part is the introduction.This paper mainly introduces the origin of the research,the practical inspiration,the purpose and significance of the research,the related literature review,as well as the object and method of the research.The second part is the introduction to Confucius Institute of Zagreb University.This part takes the time as the axis,through the thorough exploration Confucius institute historical data,the longitudinal analysis Zagreb university Confucius institute has been established in the Chinese teaching promotion and the development aspect,including the whole institute construction history,the management pattern,students,teachers,teaching materials,curriculum,cultural promotion and so on.The third part is the center of gravity of this paper.Based on the results of a questionnaire survey on Confucius Institute of Zagreb University,this paper analyzes the teaching of Chinese language in Confucius Institute of Zagreb University,including students' basic situation,teacher's basic situation,Chinese curriculum setting.The development of Chinese language teaching,the assessment of Chinese achievements and cultural promotion of the two aspects of the current situation.The fourth part is the integration of the results of investigation and analysis,it is found that there are many problems in Chinese teaching,curriculum design,teaching resources and so on in the historical development process of Zagreb University Confucius Institute.The fifth part of the author mainly from the investigation found the problems,one to one in view of the specific problems found to put forward the corresponding suggestions and some of the author's thinking,hoping to be able to attract relevant attention and reference in the development of the Confucius Institute.And hoping to be able to improve the teaching quality of Confucius Institute of Zagreb University and promote the sustainable development of Confucius Institute.
