Research On The Willingness Of The Elderly To Participate In Community Elderly Care Services From The Perspective Of Social Capital

With the acceleration of population aging,urban community pension service in China is facing great challenges.In the face of the new situation,the former negative and single welfare support models have lost their material basis and operating space,which requires the government and society to hold a more positive attitude and concept in dealing with the issue of ageing.The related discussion of positive aging provides us with a good solution path.As a valuable resource neglected by the society,the elderly have abundant social capital.If they take an active part in the community pension service work,they will still be active contributors to social development.Therefore,to let the elderly widely participate in community pension service work,exploring and cultivating its social capital is one of the effective means to alleviate the pressure of community pension service work and to achieve the goal of active aging.On the basis of literature review,this paper divides social capital into three dimensions: trust,relationship network and norms.Collecting the elderly's willingness to participate in community pension service work and their community capital through questionnaire survey in J community of Changning District,Shanghai.By combining quantitative and qualitative methods,social capital and the willingness of the elderly to participate in work were analyzed.Descriptive analysis was used to observe the status quo of the community elderly's willingness to participate in community pension service work.Using reliability analysis,factor analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis,this paper analyzes the influence of social capital on the elderly's willingness to participate in community pension service work.At the same time,a representative sample of the elderly is selected by means of purposiveness sampling to conduct a qualitative analysis of their willingness to participate in community pension service work and their social capital.The analysis shows that the three dimensions of social capital are related to and have an influence on the willingness of the elderly to participate.Trust,relationship network and norms can greatly improve the enthusiasm of the elderly to participate in community pension service work.According to the research conclusion and with the reality,the paper puts forward some countermeasures to cultivate from the social capital of the trust,networks,norms dimension.Through constructing the two-way trust relation,enriching theinteraction way and promoting the organization participation,in order to improve the elderly's willingness of participating in community pension service work.It will provide valuable reference for the realization of the dual development of the elderly themselves and the community pension service and the construction of the active aging society.
