Employee recruitment is an essential way for companies to obtain high-quality staffs.It is significant to recruit employees who are competent for the job to improve the competitiveness and sustainable development for the company.Therefore,employee recruitment is an important research issue in human resource management.This paper takes XR law firm as an example and takes the competency model theory as a guide to study the recruitment management of the XR law firm.The paper consists of five parts.First,the paper summarizes the theories and methods of employee recruitment,the competency model,and the competency characteristics of law firms.Second,it introduces the XR law firm's general situation of development,the organizational structure,and the human resource situation.At the same time,it analyzes the current situation of the recruitment team,recruitment channels,recruitment process,and the recruited employees of the firm.Next,it analyzes problems existing in XR law firm's current recruitment work,including a lack of recruitment plan,an unclear setting of recruitment information,unscientific recruitment process,and insufficient assessment of the hidden competency and quality required for the position.The reasons for these problems include: the firm does not pay adequate attention to recruitment management activities;the recruitment work lacks theoretical guidance and professional supervision;and the information in the recruitment management is asymmetric.Based on the above analysis,an initial competency model for lawyers' positions was created.This initial model was then amended through a series of questionnaire survey before a final competency model for XR law firm's lawyers' positions was established.The model could be quantified to facilitate the actual operation.Then,according to the established competency model,the scheme design was carried out for the XR law firm's recruitment management.Finally,the paper proposes to take effective measures to ensure the effective implementation of the XR law firm recruitment system from the aspects of organization guarantee,resource guarantee,and system guarantee.The problems encountered by the XR law firm in employee recruitment are universal to many law firms.Through the research on the recruitment management system of the XR law firm,this paper can offer guidance to better recruitment management,and provide suggestionsand solutions to law firms with similar problems.
