With the rapid development of China's economy and society,China's international status is increasing day by day,and it is actively participating in the reform and construction of the global governance system.Global governance is inseparable from international organizations.China has a small number of citizens serving in international organizations and a low status,thus its voice and influence in international organizations are weak,which is not compatible with China's international status.International organizations first appeared in the early 19 th century and are the result of the globalization of human economic,political,and social life.International civil servants are an important force for sovereign countries to exert influence in international organizations.The number of citizens of a country serving in the International Organization,especially the level of their positions,the importance of the positions held,and whether they can protect their national rights It can directly reflect the country 's status and influence.President Xi Jinping raised the cultivation of talents in international organizations to the height of national strategy,and proposed to train “a large number of professionals who are familiar with the party and the country's policies and principles,understand our country's national conditions,have a global perspective,are proficient in foreign languages,proficient in international rules,and proficient in international negotiations.”.This article reviews the competencies required by the international organizations for their staff,then summarizes the three core values of international civil servants: loyalty,professionalism,and respect for diversity,and four cores competencies,namely,the language and communication skills,social skills,management skills,and lifelong learning skills.This article explores the experience and practices of talent training in international organizations from three aspects: the training mechanism of the United Nations,the training model for international relations professionals at American universities,and the training model for international organizations and global governance professionals at the School of Foreign Affairs.On the basis of this research,it is proposed that compared with foreign countries,China still has shortcomings in foreign language ability training,cross-cultural communication ability,management ability and talent internship employment,etc.,and then proposes that China should develop a combination of home country feelings and world mind International organization talents,strengthen discipline construction,innovation quality ability education as the core training system and establish a set of talent training coordination mechanism.
