Huang Zongxi: Learning And Politics

To answer the puzzles between thought and era that Huang Zongxi(1610-95)was facing and solving,this essay try to deal with the topic of Huang Zongxi's xuewen and zhengzi(academy and politics)in the context of the history of political thoughts.His famous political tract,Mingyi daifang lu,has two positions.Firstly,as a text,Mingyi daifang lu construct the critical space based on yuanjuan,yuanchen and yuanfa.And an example,junchengongzhi(Ruled by king and ministers together),was explained,whchih was indicating Huang Zongxi's concerns about political order.Secondly,as a life event,Mingyi daifan lu should be realized through Huang Zongxi's life.Based on this,Huang Zongxi was beginning to thinking about potical order by the pose of xuewen.Huang Zongxi's turn emerged three levels of change.Firstly,Huang Zongxi's political thoughts was totally in the historical context of the background of the times of Late Ming and early Qing Dynasty,as the change of social order,that menhuzhizheng(Disputes among sects)and folk moral order emerged in large numbers.Secondly,the historical implication of the change of Huang zongxi's self-identification about his identify can be realized by the double division of donglinyigu and mingmoyilao,in the journey from political actions to ceyurulin.Thirdly,on life strategy,Huang Zongxi care about order throughout his remaining time in the beginning of writing and reflect on death and funeral.Huang Zongxi's turn finally reflected on the political order in a scholarly manner,and his personality and order thinking appeared in his works.Returning to Mingyi daifang lu,first,he showed the diffusion and concealment of political action in Mingyi daifang lu,and the texts of xuexiao(School)and fangzhen(magistrate with military power)are related.First of all,he is thinking about the historical experience of the xuewen and the order construction of the xuexiao;secondly,he initiated the consciousness based on shendu(be careful of oneself when alone)as the basic point,that is,the spirit of the people strengthened in the consciousness of the political order strengthen the political meaning of xinxue(the philosophy of mind).Finally,a little try.In the application of Huang Zongxi's political thoughts during the revolution of the late Qing Dynasty,the misunderstanding and misplacement of "people" in Mingyi daifang lu showed the contemporary meaning of political thought.Its order implies response to the times.Based on this,Huang Zongxi showed his order care beyond the dynasty in his academic and political responses.Huang Zongxi's knowledge as an order thinker is also an important ideological resource for contemporary issues.
