The 19th CPC National Congress Report stressed:"we must fully implement the party’s education policy,implement the fundamental task of morality education,develop the quality education,promote the equity of education,and cultivate the socialist builders and successors of the all-round development of morality,intelligence physique and aesthetic." An important aspect of how to implement the fundamental task of the morality education is to continuously increase the teaching reform of the ideological and political theory courses.Junior middle school students,with their physical and psychological characteristics,are at a very important stage in the development of their lives.Therefore,to strengthen and improve the "morality and the rule of law" course in junior middle school,we must adhere to the students-oriented,respect the students,understand what students think,meet the needs of students and help students form a correct world outlook,outlook on life and values.Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory is a theory about human needs to meet and develop in many aspects,this theory is widely used in all fields of social science research.At present,with the advancement of the new curriculum reform in the middle school ideological and political theory course,more and more people emphasize to respect the students’ needs highly and give full play to students in the learning process of subjectivity and initiative,this makes Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory more and more important in the field of secondary education and teaching.It is not only feasible but also necessary to use Maslow’s hierarchy theory in the teaching of "morality and the rule of law" course in junior middle school.This article closely follows the new requirements of the new era.Based on the new characteristics and new changes of the junior middle school students,we will focus on analysis and discussion from five aspects.Firstly,this article explains the connotation,content and mutual relations,main features and functions of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.Maslow’s hierarchy of needs includes five levels,namely,the need of physiology,the need of safety,the need of emotion and attribution,the need of respect and the need of self-realization.Five levels are ascending from low to high,and each level is closely related to each other and affects each other.Maslow’s hierarchy theory has the characteristics of level,integrity and class nature,and it also has the function of guidance and motivation.Secondly,this article probes into the principles and significance of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory in the teaching of "morality and the rule of law" course in junior middle school.The use of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs in junior middle school "morality and the rule of law" course should follow the four principles of development,moderation,people-centeredness,and teaching due to human factors.The application of Maslow’s hierarchy theory in "morality and the rule of law" teaching in junior middle school is helpful to understand students’ needs and enhance the effectiveness of "morality and the rule of law" teaching;it is helpful to respect students’ needs and promote the construction of subjectivity classroom;it is helpful to meet the needs of students and promote the change of teacher-student relationship;it is helpful to guide students ’ needs and promote the cultivation of students’ core quality.Thirdly,this article analyzes the present situation and reasons of Maslow’s need hierarchy theory in the teaching of junior middle school "morality and the rule of law" course.On the basis of investigation and interview,it is found that although Maslow’s hierarchy theory of needs is understood and concerned,there are still some problems in teaching application,for example,the importance of students’ unanimous needs and different needs is not enough,and the teaching mode needs to be optimized;students’ needs are not fully understood,respected and guided,and teaching design needs improvement;the satisfaction of students at all levels is restricted,and the effectiveness of curriculum needs to be improved.The reason for these problems is that there is a gap between the quality of teachers themselves and the requirements for the development of the times;the school pays attention to students’ performances and neglects the needs of students;the current education system does not adapt to the actual needs of students.Fourthly,this article puts forward the effective countermeasures of Maslow’s hierarchy theory in the teaching of "morality and the rule of law" course in junior middle school.According to the problem and reason analysis,this paper puts forward the countermeasures from four angles.It includes raising the understanding of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high schools;using Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory to optimize junior middle school " morality and the rule of law " teaching mode;according to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory scientifically designed " morality and the rule of law " course in junior middle school;objective using Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory to improve the junior middle school" morality and the rule of law " effectiveness of the course and so on.Finally,this article presents the teaching case design of Maslow’s hierarchy theory in the teaching of "morality and the rule of law" course in junior middle school.Combining the lesson of "Diligent study and good at learning" provides a reference for the effective use of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs in teaching in middle school "morality and the rule of law" course. |
