In the process of Chinese learning towards the world,Thailand has become one of Chinese learning power,in the face of large and complex Chinese learning groups,if the quality of Chinese textbooks can match the pace of development of Chinese language teaching,it is a problem worth studying.Because the author participated in the Hanban volunteer projects to Thai,worked in Thailand vocational middle school which are under vocational education commission from 2016 to 2017.During the actual process of teaching and the communication with other educational committee volunteer teachers,the author observed the the existing of the predicament of the Thai vocational middle schools teaching materials' usage,and the practice of self-editing teaching materials in such a situation.so this paper will summarize the current problems of the Chinese textbooks in use,analysis causes and give suggestions from the perspective of vocational middle schools in Thailand.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the background,significance of topic selection,literature review,research methods and innovation.In the literature review,the author firstly sorted out the writing principles and research trends of teaching Chinese as a second language,and then sorted out the research status of Chinese textbooks in Thai.The second part is about the questionnaire survey about present Chinese teaching materials which are used in Thailand in vocational middle schools.The author designed a set of questions for volunteers who teaches in vocational middle schools,and then screened a few typical volunteer teachers for a second interview,tried to use datas and actual situation help summarize the satisfaction of the existing Chinese textbooks and the existing problems in vocational middle schools.The third part summarizes the problems of Chinese textbooks in vocational middle schools in Thailand and analyzes the causes.According to the survey results,the author summarizes the problems of Chinese textbooks which are being used in Thailand vocational middle schools mainly includes four aspects,which are high difficulty,low interests,lack of vocational education features and the low localization and low degree of three-dimensional.And from macro to micro,targeted to analyze the cause of current situation.There are a total of three aspects:The twists and turns in the development of Chinese language education in Thailand,inconformity between the difficulty of current textbooks with the students' Chinese level in vocational middle schools,the aging of Chinese textbooks and the lack of new idea.The fourth part is about the practice of self-editing teaching materials which were completed by the author,and analyzes one lesson of them as a case in this part.This part mainly consists of three major aspects:the background of the self-editing teaching materials,the compilation of self-editing teaching materials and the actual teaching practice.The fifth part put forward suggestions for Thailand vocational middle schools ' Chinese textbooks' research and development according to the former three chapters which already sums up the problems,analyze the causes and describes practice of self-editing teaching materials.This paper tries to give targeted advices for the future Chinese textbooks which will be applied in Thailand vocational middle schools.
