With the continuous development of the kindergarten curriculum reform,the growth portfolio has been widely used in the field of early childhood education.The application of children's growth portfolio not only helps to fully pay attention to the development of children,helps teachers to reflect on education and teaching and optimize education decisions,but also promotes the communication between parents and teachers,and help promote home-school cooperation and home education.In this study,330 preschool teachers from 15 kindergartens in Shandong province were studied.And the author uses the method of literature,questionnaire,interview and text analysis method,focus on teachers' understanding of children's growth portfolio,collects children portfolio content,children's growth portfolio of participants,the utility of children's growth portfolio,the difficulty of the teacher in the application of children's growth portfolio,this paper investigates the present situation of the application of the 15 kindergartens in Shandong province.The research shows that the application of children's growth portfolio has achieved certain results:(1)Children's growth portfolio has been recognized and accepted by most teachers.(2)Some teachers can mobilize children and their parents to participate in the work of children's growth portfolio.(3)The establishment of children's growth portfolio promotes family communication.There are still some problems in the application of children's growth portfolio:(1)There is blindness in material collection.(2)The written record of the collection of materials is too simple(3)Children's participation is not enough;(4)The role of children's growth portfolio is not fully played.Through the investigation,the author conclude the reasons for the above problems,including following aspects: some teachers lack the correct understanding of children's growth portfolio and some teachers are lack of enthusiasm and professional knowledge for the application of children's growth portfolio in the process of application.In addition to the teachers' subjective reasons,the class capacity is too large,the proportion of teachers and children is unreasonable,and the lack of teachers' energy is also an important reason why the growth portfolio has not been better applied.This study puts forward suggestions for improvement from the aspects of improving teacher awareness,teacher training,and the application strategies of the children's growth portfolio.
