Research On The Status Quo And Problems Of Basketball Teaching In Model High Schools In Zunyi City, Guizhou Province

Basketball is an important part of school physical education as a popular sport that students enjoy.The development of basketball plays an important role in improving students' physical quality and shaping their good character and quality.The popularity of basketball is becoming more and more widespread,but for various reasons,the situation of basketball teaching is not ideal.Therefore,we should understand the present situation of basketball teaching in a certain area,and put forward some corresponding suggestions and measures.It is of great significance to the further development and improvement of basketball teaching.In this paper,literature research methods,field inspections,questionnaires,mathematical statistics and logical analysis methods are used to study the Zunyi No.1High School,Zunyi No.2 Middle School,and Zunyi No.4 Middle School in Zunyi City,Guizhou Province.Zunyi City No.5 Middle School,Zunyi Aerospace Senior High School,Zunyi City No.14 Middle School,Zunyi City No.21 Middle School,Zunyi Nanbai Middle School,and 8 representative provincial model high school basketball teachers and students as research Objective: To understand the status quo of basketball teaching in exemplary high schools in Zunyi,Guizhou Province,and to identify problems in basketball teaching,and finally to put forward scientific,effective,and reasonable suggestions.By investigating the status quo of exemplary high school basketball teaching in Zunyi City,Guizhou Province,it is found that the problems in basketball teaching mainly include the following aspects: 1.Basketball teacher qualifications,job titles,and age structure compliance rate are better,but the number of basketball special teachers Too little,and the gender ratio is seriously out of balance.2.Basketball venues and facilities are lacking;basketball venue management and maintenance are not timely;basketball stadiums have low utilization rates and open hours are too short.3.The importance of leadership to basketball teaching is not enough.Leaders attach too much importance to the rate of progression and neglect the important role of basketball teaching activities in school sports.4.Most schools still use the traditional administrative classes to teach,and a few schools have launched basketball interest classes for teaching.5.In the choice of teaching content,most teachers only pay attention to the study of basketball skills and ignore the teaching of basketball theory knowledge.6.The form evaluation results of the model high school in Zunyi,Guizhou Province were messy,there were no specific assessment measures and standards,and they were not strictly enforced at the same time.At the same time,the following suggestions are proposed for the problems existing in basketball teaching: 1.The competent department should strengthen the introduction and selection of high-level talents and improve the teachers' teaching ability and professional quality.2.Reasonably plan and build basketball courts and facilities,as well as strengthen the maintenance and management of basketball court facilities,and fully improve the utilization rate of basketball court facilities.3.Leaders should increase the emphasis on basketball teaching in school sports,develop new sources of funding,and obtain support and assistance from society.4.The school should continue to innovate the organization of physical education teaching,according to the interests of students interested in carrying out interest classes for learning and development,improve students' enthusiasm for learning basketball.5.Teachers should pay attention to the combination of basketball theoretical knowledge and basketball skills when formulating teaching plans and selecting teaching content.6.The school should improve the final assessment mechanism of basketball teaching to fully understand the students' learning situation and existing problems.
