Research On The Impact Of Population Aging On Economic Growth In Guizhou Province

The aging of the population is the product of the economic and social development,and it is also a major challenge faced by mankind in the twenty-first Century.As an irreversible and objective development trend,it is changing all fields of social production.This paper focuses on the impact of population aging in the economic field.There is no consensus about the impact of population aging on economic growth at present.In different countries and regions,because of the difference of social economic backgrounds,the characteristics of population aging and the impact on economic growth are quite different.In this paper,the related data of population aging in Guizhou province is used for the study on population aging's influence in economic growth.And this study will help to identify the relationship between population aging and economic growth,and can also provide reference for the formulation of relevant policies in Guizhou Province.Firstly this paper detailedly shows the situation of population aging in Guizhou Province,and predicts the trend of population aging.The result shows that the level of population aging in Guizhou will be improved in the future.This will be concretely shows that the proportion of 65 years old and above is increasing year by year,and the proportion of the aged population will reach 20.14% by 2040.Secondly,based on the former theoretical research,this paper analyzes the influence of population aging's on Guizhou economic growth by using the empirical model.And it shows that there is an inverted U relationship between the population aging and economic growth: the early aging of the population is beneficial to the economic growth of Guizhou Province,but the aging of the population has begun to have a negative impact on economic growth after a certain stage of population development.Then,from the elements of economic growth,this paper concretely analyzes the population aging's influence on labor supply and demand,saving and consumption in Guizhou.The results show that the effect of population aging on the labor supply of Guizhou province is mainly reflected in two aspects,one is the relative decrease of labor supply,and the other is the aging of the labor age population.And the impact of aging on labor demand in Guizhou province is that it will drive the development of related industries and promote the employment of workers.About the influence on saving level in Guizhou Province,it shows that the aging of population has a positive effect to it,and the influence of child dependency ratio on savings rate is negative.On the influence in consumption level,it shows that the effect of the elderly population on the total consumption is higher thanthat of the other age groups,especially the higher demand on health care.Finally,above the studies,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to prepare for coping with the challenges of aging population in Guizhou.
