Standing on the turning points of geography curriculum reform,high school geography curriculum standards and revision of textbooks,and reforms of the college entrance examination,etc.,exploring how to use electronic maps to improve middle school students' geographical key competences gradually highlights its necessity.With the advancement of the geography curriculum reform in middle schools,there is an increasing demand for teaching maps in middle schools.The teaching map is not only an important teaching tool in the middle school geography classroom,but also an important teaching content.The rapid development of information technology and the arrival of the era of big data provide us with a rich and convenient way of mapping,and it also has higher requirements for electronic maps that are affixed to geography teaching.At the same time,the rise and development of key competences has become a new trend in education reform.How to implement key competences to the discipline implementation level is a problem that geography education researchers urgently need to solve.Without a map,there is no real sense of geography teaching.With the development of society and times,traditional paper maps have gradually revealed many drawbacks.While geography teachers use traditional paper maps for teaching,they should actively introduce electronic maps that can better achieve teaching goals and improve teaching quality.With its strong advantages,the electronic map gradually climbs the stage of middle school geography teaching and plays an important role.However,electronic maps that are really suitable for high school geography teaching in China have not yet come out.The relevant electronic maps on the Internet are not close to the geography curriculum standards.In addition,the current new curriculum reform attaches great importance to cultivating the key competences of disciplines.Grasping the application strategy of electronic maps not only plays an important role in nurturing students' key competence,but also greatly assists teachers in mastering information technology and improving their ability to use them.Therefore,it is very important to study the use of electronic maps to improve the key competence of middle school students.Based on the literature research,this paper combines the topics to further comprehend the connotation of the key competence of geography,the concept,characteristics,and classification of electronic maps.Through theoretical research and the status quo of the application of geographical electronic maps in middle schools,the present situation of application and existence are understood.Problems,propose the use of electronic maps to improve the effective strategies of middle school students geographical key competences.This article mainly includes the following aspects:The first part is an introduction.First of all,it introduces the research background and research significance of high school geographical electronic map.Secondly,it introduces the domestic and foreign research status of middle school geographical electronic map.Finally,it points out the research content,research significance and innovation of this article.The second part is the concept definition and theoretical basis.Firstly,it outlines a set of concepts of key competences,geographic competences and geographical key competences.Second,it defines the concept and types of maps and electronic maps.Finally,it gives a detailed introduction to the three theoretical foundations that guide the research of this article.The third part is based on the survey design,process and results.First of all,through questionnaire survey on the current situation of the application of electronic maps in middle schools,followed by statistical analysis of student questionnaires,and finally to find out the problems and deficiencies in students' geographical key competence cultivation and electronic map applications.This is the practical basis and reference for the author's application of electronic maps based on key competences.The fourth part is the key point of this paper.Based on the analysis of the results of the survey questionnaire,the author explores the feasibility of using electronic maps to improve the key competences of middle school students.First of all,it analyzes the deficiencies of geographical key competence training strategies:the ion of the comprehensive thinking process,the static training of regional cognitive cultivation,and the training of geographical practice are far from the empty content of life and people's concepts.Secondly,it gives the theoretical basis for using electronic maps to improve the key competences of middle school students.The fifth part is the analysis of the application strategy of electronic maps,and specifically explains the application strategy of electronic maps in teaching.The sixth part is conclusion and outlook.Firstly,this paper summarizes the viewpoints and conclusions of this dissertation.Secondly,it combs the problems and deficiencies in the research of this paper.Finally,it proposes further research directions and research questions.
