| STEAM education as a new type of education in the age of informationizing education,it is mainly to cultivate students’ innovative ability,communication and cooperation ability,practice ability,information literacy ability,which has popularing the global education and becoming a global education development strategy.This article is studying along the process of researching status,finding the problem,analyzing problem and putting forward the proposals.By analyzing the literature and finding the problem,this article is thinking about the problem that which kind of ability and competence characteristics STEAM teachers should have to successfully develop high quality STEAM teaching,to determine the research topic.This study takes the theory of constructivism learning theory,scientific management,the difference of energy theory as the theoretical basis,and uses literature analysis method,critical incident interview method and questionnaire survey method to study.There are seven parts in this study,the first part is the introduction part,mainly introducing the research background,research significance,the core concept definitions and the structure of the thesis.The second part is mainly to overview the related researches.The third part introduces the theoretical basis and the general study idea of this study.The fourth part is analyzing this study theoretically,and analyzing the necessity of researching the topic that the competency model of STEAM teachers in primary and secondary schools.This part elaborates the necessity of studying STEAM education and studying the competency of STEAM teachers.The fifth part is the empirical research part.It is using the literature research method to get competence characteristic projects,and then using key event interview method to interview related researchers,to supply characteristic projects.Integrating the characteristics of the two methods preliminarily will get STEAM teacher competency characteristic projects.This part selects the preliminary getted competency characteristic projects by giving out "the elementary and high school teachers of STEAM check list" which using the questionnaire survey method.Because the primary and secondary school STEAM teachers are extremely scarce,in order to sample reasonably and guarantee the quantity,also to ensure the quality,this part selects the teachers that both have STEAM single subject background and STEAM researching background to study.And it get the final STEAM teacher competency characteristic projects.Finally this part classifies competency characteristic projects,divide these projects into benchmark competence characteristics and diagnostic competence characteristics,and form the primary and secondary school teachers competency characteristic model.The sixth part puts forward the relevant application recommendations by using the competency characteristic model.It makes application strategies from the training,evaluation,teachers team construction,selection,compensation management of the STEAM teachers.The last part is a summary of the paper.It points out the innovation and deficiency of the research.And it’s looking forward to the future.This study focused on the building of the primary and secondary school STEAM teachers competency characteristic model.It explores what ability characteristics the STEAM teachers should have.It establishes the competency model of STEAM teachers on the basis of theoretical research and empirical research.It has a certain value of application.In addition. |
