Competency of pre-primary teacher means the characteristic which able to distinguish the high-performance teachers in early childhood education teachers in the teaching activities between teacher and children.In the social context that the professionalization of pre-primary teacher have become increasingly demanding,the mental quality is the foundation for the formation and development of other qualities of pre-primary teachers,and it plays an important role in children's growth and development.The conclusions of this study can used to employ teachers in early childhood education,performance evaluation and excellent set of eligibility criteria for teachers,as well as related training of kindergarten teachers;it is provide an empirical basis,it plays an important role in promoting professionalism of Kindergarten teachers.Behavior event interview(BEI) and the matic-analysis are used to explores the competence model of pre-primary teacher empirically.Based on summarizing the documents and behavior event interview,this study got the competency model of the pre-primary teacher's,draws up the "pre-primary teacher competency dictionary" which including the definition of descriptive, behavioral level target and behavior level.We plait "the self-assessment questionnaire of the pre-primary teacher competency "which through the pre-primary teacher preparation competency model,through exploratory factor analysis and to test its reliability and validity,the effectiveness of this model could be verified.At last,we used age and educational level as the indexes,to analysis the competency of pre-primary teacher comparatively.The following conclusions are induced:1.The competency model of the pre-primary teacher's includes the traits of excellent teachers and the traits of all the teachers.The excellent teachers own some specific traits,such as flexibility,self-assessment,relationship building,self-Control,occupation preferred,conceptual thinking, achievement orientation,children orientation,self-confidence and management etc.The competency traits of all the teachers,however,include observation,analysis and evaluation,and planning, initiative,professional knowledge,impacted influence information seeking,interpersonal understanding,teamwork and cooperation,and problem-solving ability etc.2.Depend on the pre-primary teacher preparation competency model,the study developed the questionnaire "The self-assessment questionnaire of the pre-primary teacher competency".Through exploratory factor analysis extracted seven factors,named achievement-oriented,personal qualities, interpersonal skills,attention to teaching and research capacity,child-oriented,organization and management;Compared the exploratory factor analysis results with the theoretical concept of the basic agreement,the early childhood teacher competency model founded good construct validity, reliability and stability.The results shows the questionnaire had good reliability and validity,it is a valid and reliable questionnaire.3.The Results of comparative analysis shows:the teaching-age has a positive prediction on the competency of the pre-primary teacher;the educational level is also an impact to effort on the competency of the pre-primary teacher.
