| In this rich treasure of literature,it contains a lot of historical resources,which has a certain historical value and proof history functions.Appropriate use of literature in history teaching not only assist teachers describe historical events and characters vividly,but also enable students to experience the social conditions at the time and form clear historical concepts in their minds,then it can effectively cultivate students to get humanistic quality and inherit the excellent traditional culture.The effective use of literary works can stimulate students’ interest in learning,open up students’ horizons,cultivate students’ historical thinking,and improve students’ ability of analyzing and solving problems.This article tries to explore the application of literature in history teaching in middle schools from historical classroom teaching and historical outdoor activities.In terms of historical classroom teaching,literature can play three major teaching functions:creating historical situations,inspiring learning interests,and developing historical thinking.In terms of outdoor activities,teachers can use similar courses for example through ancient poetry,historical textbooks,and historical novels to enrich students’ history for conducting interdisciplinary teaching.In the guiding activities,teachers can use literature to spread humanistic feelings,expand students’ knowledge horizons,and strengthen the ability of students to identify the historical authenticity,thus teachers can further broaden the way for students to learn history.There are two problems need to attention for using literature in history teaching.First of all,it should be clear that in history teaching,literatures are supplementary to historical materials rather than the main of the history classroom.literatures should follow the principles of appropriateness,authenticity,and flexibility when teachers use them in teaching.Secondly,from the perspective of teacher development,historical teachers should intentionally improve their literary qualities.When selecting literary works,they should pay attention to identify the part of false creation in literature.When teaching,the teachers should pay attention to the integration and development of related courses for example Chinese,so as to not only improve the teacher’s teaching efficiency,but also cultivate the quality of the students. |
