Curriculum standards for general high school geography(2017 editions)(hereinafter referred to as the new curriculum standards)further clarifies the role of geography experimental teaching in cultivating students' practical ability in geography.Experiment is an effective way to verify geographical principles and laws and is the source of natural science knowledge.Natural geography is an important part of natural science.It is of great significance to carry out experimental teaching of natural geography in class for students to master geographical knowledge and laws,cultivate experimental interest and practice ability of geography.By selecting the contents of geography 1 and selective compulsory 1 in the new curriculum standard in accordance with the experimental teaching content of natural geography class through the literature method,compared with the experimental activities in the current geography textbooks,it is found that the number of experimental activities in the textbooks is small,the content is simple,and the scientific nature is insufficient,which is not conducive to the development of experimental teaching.Based on the analysis of new curriculum standards and textbooks,the natural geography classroom experiment is divided into mapping class,model making class,demonstration class and classroom observation class.By using the method of questionnaire to survey the senior high school students and front-line teachers,it is found that the problems of the senior high school natural geography classroom experiment are as follows:The implementation of geography experiment is not enough;The class hour arrangement is unreasonable,the teaching time is limited.;Lack of experimental literacy and skills;Lack of innovation in experimental design;Single teaching method;The traditional evaluation method is given priority to.Student aspect:the student participation consciousness is not strong;The experimental atmosphere was overactive.Based on the existing problems,proposed experimental high school physical geography classroom teaching strategies,including changing the concept of education to improve the experiment skills,use of material experiment in life,flexible use experimental method optimization experiment steps,reasonable arrangement of the experiment time,strengthen the team cooperation and communication to improve students' participation,build good experimental atmosphere play a role of the teacher's guide,auxiliary geography experimental teaching by using modem information technology,strengthen the performance assessment,etc.This paper designs relevant teaching cases to guide the implementation of geography experimental teaching,in the hope that these strategies and Suggestions can effectively help students improve their interest in learning geography,better master the knowledge of geography,and cultivate the core quality of geography.
