Research On The Relationship Between Social Work Supervision Behavior And Supervision Alliance

This study uses the mixed method research to explore the relationship between local supervision behavior and supervision alliance.In the qualitative stage,the supervisors and the supervisees were selected as the research objects.A total of 8 indepth interviews were conducted and a supervisory behavior scale was formed.In the quantitative research stage,the full-time social workers who have been supervised are the research subjects,and the questionnaires on supervision behavior and supervision alliance are investigated.183 questionnaires are collected and 170 valid questionnaires are used.Exploratory factor analysis,correlation and regression are conducted through SPSS22.0(Chinese version).The main research findings are:1.The local supervision behavior is mainly composed of four dimensions,task assistance,task obstruction,social and emotional support and interpersonal interaction.The structure of supervision behavior questionnaire is clear and the reliability and validity are good;2.The quantitative research result shows that the task assistance and social and emotional support level of the supervisory behavior are significantly positively correlated with the supervisory alliance,with task assistance being the best predictor,followed by social and emotional support.The task obstruction behavior is significantly negatively correlated with the supervision alliance,and the interpersonal interaction behavior has no obvious correlation with the supervision allianceThe following recommendations are proposed:1.Supervisor: attach importance to supervising the alliance and supervising contracts,continuously enhance assistance and support,negotiate confidentiality boundaries,and reflect on the effectiveness of supervision;2.Supervisee: actively open in the process of supervision and courage to express;3.Organization: provide supervisor and supervisee with a two-way selection of supervisory alliances,while balancing the role of internal and external supervision;4.Institution: standardize local supervision and training,establish certification standards,and pay attention to the evaluation of supervision service quality.
