Tang poetry and Song lyrics are the treasures of our excellent Chinese traditional culture.Although difficulties have been being met in the process of their evolution for thousands of year,they are still shining.The spirit and aesthetic characteristics of Tang poetry and Song lyrics are worth exploring,absorbing and inheriting.Having learned ancient poetry in junior high school,students in senior high school have some basic understanding of Tang poetry and Song lyrics,which lays the foundation for further study in senior high school.In high school,learning Tang poetry and Song lyrics is conducive to improving the ability of appreciating and analyzing ancient poems as well as the ability of recognizing the beauty of them.Besides,it has a positive effect on understanding and passing on traditional culture.Selected Reading of Tang Poetry and Song Lyrics edited in Jiangsu Educational Publisher is an optional textbook for senior high school students.With time as a clue to present the development of Tang poetry and Song lyrics,the textbook is distinctive in arrangement.63 classical poems from the early Tang Dynasty to the Southern Song Dynasty are selected in the textbook,of which31 are Tang poems and the rest are Song lyrics.Obviously,sufficient textual materials for learners are provided,which will help them accumulate reading experience of ancient poems and also provide teachers with a broad space to play their own roles.This research is based on the ancient poems in the textbooks.On the basis of the systematic study of the current teaching situation,this paper explores the methods of reading and appreciating ancient poetry from the perspective of teaching how to read Tang poetry and Song lyrics,aiming to help students establish a more systematic methodological system for reading ancient poetry during teaching process.At the same time,it also puts forward practical teaching strategies,which takes students' principal position in teaching process into consideration and highlights the importance of students' autonomous learning.By reading aloud,it also pays attention to enriching students' aesthetic experience.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter analyzes the compiling style and layout features of the textbook and puts forward suggestions for teaching based on the new curriculum standards and the related discussions in the teachers' reference books,which paves the way for the development of the next chapters.Besides,the first chapter also analyzes the current situation in the teaching of how to read Selected Readings of Tang Poems and Song Lyrics and the causes of this situation,so as to make the reading strategies and teaching strategies more targeted.The second chapter explores the strategies of reading and appreciating Selected Readings of Tang Poetry and Song Lyrics from the perspective oftext reading and appreciating.The first section is about the reading strategies of ancient poetry,including three methods: one is to approach poets and get some ideas of the history he experiences;the other is to return to culture and appreciate the images in poems;the third is to perceive the situation and understand the situation.Section 2 explores two ways of appreciating the poems in Selected Readings of Tang and Song Lyrics from the perspective of text appreciation,namely,comparative consideration,appreciation of the "beauty of appropriateness" of the words and the "beauty of integration" of the appreciation realm.This chapter focuses on the in-depth grasp of the artistic conception of ancient poems and guides students to appreciate the beauty of integration widely existing in ancient poetry,which is about the education of recognizing beauty permeated in the process of appreciating ancient poetry.Chapter III,referring to the requirements of the new curriculum standards,elaborates several teaching strategies available in the teaching of reading Selected Readings of Tang Poems and Song Lyrics.The strategy focuses on the cultivation of students' ability of "self-study,cooperation and exploration",advocating teachers to guide students to accumulate and study independently and also providing several reference methods for teachers to reconstruct teaching materials.This chapter also explores several forms of class suitable for teaching Selected Reading of Tang Poems and Song Lyrics,namely,discussing in class,sharing in class and reciting in class.These flexible and diversified forms of class can stimulate students' interest,increase students' participation and help make more progress.
