In recent years,with the continuous inclination of national policies,higher vocational education has developed rapidly,the number of higher vocational colleges has continued to increase,occupying half of the number of institutions of higher learning,has become an important part of higher education in China.However,in sharp contrast to the vigorous development of Higher Vocational colleges,the employment difficulties of higher vocational students have become increasingly prominent,which has become a bottleneck restricting the transformation and development of Higher Vocational colleges.To properly solve the employment problem of Higher Vocational students,it is necessary to conduct in-depth analysis of the employment competitiveness of Higher Vocational students,and find out the corresponding countermeasures and methods to improve the employment competitiveness.From the perspective of human resources management,this paper explores and analyses the employment competitiveness of Higher Vocational students,which is the innovation of this paper.Based on the study of human resource management theory,the author deeply analyzed the competency model.The competency model must be the core of the cultivation of talents' quality.The direct expression of the result of quality cultivation is the promotion of employment competitiveness,which realizes the equivalence transformation of competency and employment competitiveness.According to the competency model,the author put forward that the cultivation of talents' quality should be based on competency model.Employment competitiveness consists of knowledge,ability,skill and concept.At the same time,through the questionnaire survey of vocational students and interviews with recruiters and employees,it is found that the main reasons why vocational students fall into employment dilemma are the low employment competitiveness,which is mainly manifested in the lack of solid professional knowledge,comprehensive ability,unskilled job-hunting skills and lagging employment concept.Then,the author gives suggestions and Countermeasures to improve the employment competitiveness of higher vocational students from three perspectives of the state,schools and individuals.Through research,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Improving employment competitiveness is the key to help higher vocational students out of employment predicament.(2)Competence is a significant deep-seated characteristic that distinguishes the outstanding from the ordinary.The training of vocational students' employment competitiveness should be centered on the competency model.(3)The main reason why vocational students fall into employment dilemma is that their employment competitiveness is not high.Under the competency model,their professional knowledge is not solid,and their comprehensive ability is not strong.Unskilled job-hunting skills,lagging employment concept and so on.(4)The key to achieving quality employment and full employment of higher vocational students is to improve their employment competitiveness.We can start from three angles: top-level government design,school academic education and the change of students' ideas.
