National defense is produced with the emergence of the state,and has become the guarantee for the survival and development of the country and the nation since its inception.The degree of national cognition and attention to national defense largely determines the country's national defense strength.Relevant national defense education for the nationals is of great significance to the country,to society,and to individuals.Providing appropriate national defense education for young people is related to whether it is possible to reserve talents for the national defense cause and for national security.The state has always attached importance to the implementation of national defense education for young people.High school students are an important part of adolescents.They are at an important turning point in their lives,and their psychology and physiology are maturing.It is especially important to receive necessary and meaningful national defense education during this period.For a long time,China's high school national defense education has developed in a single form and has a short duration,making it difficult to achieve the national defense education goals set by the state during this period.As a comprehensive discipline,history covers many fields such as politics,economy,culture,military,education,etc.It can provide sufficient nutrients for national defense education and has unique advantages in national defense education.History classroom should be an important platform for cultivating high school students' national sentiments and accepting national defense education.Therefore,the content of this paper is how to implement national defense education for students in high school history classrooms.This paper is based on the combination of educational teaching theory and author's educational practice.On the basis of demonstrating the necessity and feasibility of implementing national defense education in the history teaching of high school,this paper comprehensively uses the research methods such as literature research method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to study the advanced high school in Tengzhou City,Shandong Province.The problems in the process of implementing national defense education in middle schools,the integration of history teaching and national defense education at the current stage,and the specific conditions of national defense education and the characteristics of history teaching,aiming at schools,history teachers and students.The daily management of the school reflects the requirements of national defense education,the history teachers in-depth excavation of national defense education materials and the improvement of students' national defense awareness.
