Higher education in China is undergoing an accelerating process of popularization,and has achieved remarkable achievements.Under the background of the profound transformation of economic development mode,the rapid development of Internet and big data technology,the public's close attention to the quality of education,the new characteristics of generation of post-1995 and post-2000 students,innovating student cultivation mode and improving cultivation quality has become the new requirements of the Party and the state for higher education,and the inevitable choice adhering to the connotative development of the higher education.Since 2005,led by Fudan University and Xi'an Jiaotong University,many colleges and universities in China have been experimenting with the academy system.The reform of the academy system has become a new attempt and measure in the reform of higher education.Nanjing Audit University has implemented academy system since 2014,which has lasted five years.Starting from the connotation of academy system,this paper explains the concept,theoretical basis,background,measures and effects of academy system reform of Nanjing Audit University.It also probes into the deficiencies in the operation of academy system,such as the limitation of autonomy and educational function of academy,the difficulty of cooperation between two academies,the insufficiency of facilities and characteristic culture construction,and the formalism of tutorial system.There are also some problems in general education.In view of the above problems,drawing on the successful experience of British and American residential colleges,ancient Chinese academies and the Chinese University of Hong Kong and typical universities in the Mainland,this paper puts forward six ways to improve and optimize the academy system of Nanjing Audit University:firstly,the overall design and policy support should be strengthened at the institutional level;secondly,the linkage mechanism between the two academies and three service departments should be optimized;thirdly,attention should be paid to the improvement of facilities and the condensation of culture core;fourthly,improving the teacher training and management mechanism;fifthly,scientifically planning student community and community activities;sixthly,speeding up the construction of digital campus and education management platform.
