With the rapid development of China's tourism industry,the demand for professional and practical talents has also increased dramatically.At present,the application of the case teaching method in the tourism management major of secondary vocational schools can cultivate students' practical ability and innovative spirit to a certain extent.However,there are also many problems in the application process.Therefore,under the guidance of constructivism and other educational theories,this paper takes the case teaching method of tourism management major in a secondary vocational school in Nanjing as the research object,and explores the specific problems and solutions in the current teaching of tourism in secondary vocational schools in China to improve the case.Teaching measures to apply effects in practice.First of all,this paper analyzes the theoretical basis of the case teaching method in the tourism management profession.The necessity of the application of case teaching method mainly includes the professional training objectives,the characteristics of student learning and the need of combining tourism theory with tourism practice.The feasibility is mainly that the application of case teaching method can stimulate students' interest in learning and conform to students' learning.The regularity and the harmonious interaction between the teachers and students in the classroom are the favorable conditions for implementing the case teaching method.Secondly,through my own in-depth investigation and careful analysis,the author recognizes the current situation of the application of case teaching methods in the tourism management profession.The survey shows that the current use of case teaching methods in the tourism management profession mainly includes the inappropriate selection of tourism cases,the single presentation of teaching cases,the unreasonable timetable of case teaching classes,the low participation of students in class,and the teacher's case teaching method.The application is not skilled enough,and the reasons for the problem are analyzed from the perspectives of schools,teachers and students.Finally,the author deeply studied the application principle of the case teaching method and how to optimize the teaching method.The specific strategies for improving the application of case teaching method in tourism management include five aspects:inviting experts to compile cases,establishing a perfect case resource library;enriching the case teaching method of tourism classroom;rationally arranging teaching time,and constantly improving the evaluation of tourism case teaching System;scientific grouping of students to create a good classroom learning atmosphere and strengthen the training of tourism teachers,enhance the ability of teachers to use case teaching.
