HPS(History,Philosophy and Sociology of Science)is a new research direction in the field of international educational research.It aims to integrate the contents of history of science,philosophy of science and sociology of science into secondary education,improve students' understanding of the nature of science and cultivate students' scientific accomplishment.The research on HPS education in China is still in its infancy.With the clear requirements of basic education reform for the nature of science and the latest geography curriculum standards strongly advocate core accomplishment.The integration of HPS education and geography has become a trend.Under this premise,this paper focuses on geography teaching in junior high school.Using content analysis method,this paper combs the quantity and distribution of HPS content in four volumes of geography textbooks of Hunan Educational Press junior middle school;Using Questionnaire Survey.,this paper analyzed the integration of geography classroom and HPS content in rural areas of Qingdao.It is found that the content of HPS in each volume of geography textbooks is biased and not evenly distributed,the content of the history of Geosciences is less,and the content of the relationship between man and land and the content of the sociology of science are more in the philosophy of science;geographic teachers have insufficient knowledge reserve for HPS education,insufficient training of students' advanced thinking ability and single teaching method.The reasons are as follows: Teachers are not well aware of HPS education and the educational significance of Geoscience history,the teaching content of philosophy of science is structurally unbalanced,the content of Sociology of science takes up a large proportion in the classroom.In view of the above problems,the corresponding countermeasures are put forward: Teachers learn HPS education ideas and thoughts,and adjust the classroom teaching content of HPS appropriately;based on HPS concept,two teaching cases are designed to improve students' interest in learning and cultivate their scientific accomplishment.
