General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,which is a new historical positioning of China's social development.Young people make the country strong,and young people make the country strong.General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the ideological and political education of young students.It puts forward clear requirements on how young people in the new era should carry forward the spirit of struggle,how to shoulder the mission of the times,and how teachers should do a good job of ideological and political education for young people,and point out the direction for the development of ideological and political education in the new era.Therefore,high school ideological and political teaching must shoulder the mission given by the new era,improve its teaching effectiveness,cultivate high-quality young talents for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,and comprehensively improve the competitiveness of our country's talents.This paper uses the literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method,and case interview method to study the effectiveness of ideological and political teaching in high school.The full text is divided into four parts: The first part summarizes the research background,research significance,and research status at home and abroad.The second part clarifies the related concepts of the effectiveness of ideological and political lessons in senior high schools,and the necessity of improving the effectiveness of ideological and political lessons in senior high schools.The third part explains the current teaching situation of ideological and political courses in high school in the new era,and analyzes the causes of the problems.The fourth part proposes countermeasures to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political lesson teaching in the new era.
