In the information age,high-quality innovative talents who master scientific research and technology have gradually become the core of competition.In order to win in the future,the government has successively introduced a series of policies,vigorously promoted STEAM education and robot education,and pointed out the direction for cultivating core literacy of primary and secondary school students in the field of information technology and improving their innovative and practical capabilities.STEAM education,originated in the United States,aims to integrate Science,Technology,Engineering,Arts,and Mathematics knowledge and uses project activities and other practical methods to teach and improve students'disciplines literacy and comprehensive capabilities.In the basic education stage,the application of STEAM education to reform the information technology curriculum will help give play to the role of information technology in supporting the cultivation of high-quality talents in the future.Robotics integrates the achievements of multiple disciplines,involving mathematics,engineering,technology and other fields.Applying the STEAM concept to robot education in primary schools will help to take advantage of information technology and make it an excellent platform for cultivating core literacy of primary school students.In this study,we first combed the research hotspot and development contexts of STEAM education and robot education by using the bibliometric method,and using citespace software,defined related concepts,and analyzed the adaptability of the STEAM concept to robot education.Second,based on the ADDIE model,a robot curriculum design model is constructed,which is divided into five stages including analysis,design,development,implementation,and evaluation.Then,the principle of primary school robot course design based on the STEAM concept was proposed,that is,the core goal is to cultivate core literacy,selected teaching knowledge points that can improve children's mind,and use topic clustering to organize content.Next,by analyzing the robot competition examination outline and robot teaching research cases,the key points of this course was designed.On this basis,the curriculum topics of the STEAM philosophy was screened from the aspects of key point relevance,world connection,and subject integration.The subject of the course was further combined with the key points to design a primary school robot course based on the STEAM concept.Finally,the course design project "Big Pendulum" was used for practical teaching,and the teaching results were evaluated through classroom observation and questionnaire analysis.Practical research shows that the primary school robotic curriculum based on the STEAM education concept has a good effect in practical teaching,promotes the absorption of students' subject knowledge,improves the ability to find and solve problems,and significantly improves the way of thinking.
