Poverty is an important problem that plagues the social and economic development of developing countries.Reducing poverty and even eliminating poverty and achieving social equity and justice have become the core goals and strategic requirements of international development activities.Since China's reform and opening up,poverty alleviation has been carried out continuously and achieved some results.As an important decision-making in poverty alleviation work,the key point of poverty alleviation is to tackle the task of poverty alleviation in deep poverty-stricken areas.However,education still has an important position in order to achieve poverty eradication.Poverty alleviation through education has always been the fundamental way for the Party and the state to alleviate poverty,develop and overcome poverty.In order to make the education work develop in an all-round way,music education,as one of the important ways to develop aesthetic education in education,is an indispensable and important content in the process of implementing the Party's educational thought in an all-round way and plays a very important role.However,from the current situation,the understanding of music education in poverty-stricken areas is very one-sided or even lack of such understanding,leading to music education in poverty-stricken areas is a major difficulty in poverty alleviation work,and it is urgent to find a reasonable and effective way to solve it.In order to understand the backward music education situation in poverty-stricken areas,the author used three months to go to Shanyang County,Shangluo City,Shaanxi Province to conduct field investigation and research,using a series of methods,such as questionnaire survey,field investigation,exchange and discussion among school leaders,to analyze the survey.The study found that there are many problems,such as insufficient funds for music education in schools;music teachers are not good at learning and utilizing new methods and knowledge;music education in primary and secondary schools cannot meet the basic requirements of quality education in China;the level of music teachers is not high,and the resources of music teachers are not balanced,and so on.This paper analyses the reasons for these problems.The outdated educational concept is the biggest obstacle to music education;the lack of music teachers and equipment hinders the development of music education;the insufficient influence of the music atmosphere in the environment of Shanyang County;the scarcity of organizing out-of-school educational activities and artistic and cultural activities,etc.To solve this problem,the author puts forward some countermeasures.The government and schools need to deeply understand the role and importance of music education,change their concepts,attach importance to music education,give full play to the guidance of policy-oriented diversification for music education,and improve the status of music education in Shanyang County jointly by the government and schools.The purpose of this paper is to investigate and study the current situation of music education in primary and secondary schools in Shanyang County,put forward feasible countermeasures for the current development of music education,promote the development of music education in Shanyang County,and further improve the development status of music education in rural areas.
