Since the beginning of the 21 st century,education reforms in countries around the world have tried to improve the quality of education by improving student assessment.Assessment for learning is the latest exploration in this regard.Assessment for learning is a process in which teacher define student's current learning lever worked with students to set learning goals,participated in the evaluation,and finally realized the process of promoting student learning and teacher teaching.It has received great attention from scholars at home and abroad.Ontario has issued a number of assessment policies and adopted a number of measures to ensure the smooth implementation of assessment for learning.It becomes one of the successful examples of implementing assessment for learning in Western countries.This study takes the Ontario's Assessment For Learning of primary and secondary schools as the research object,conducts in-depth research,and combined with the current implementation status of assessment for learning in China,so as to provide a reference for the development and improvement of assessment for learning in China.This research consists of the following four parts: The first part sorts out the development process of assessment for learning in Canadian primary and secondary schools,has a deep understanding of the development history of assessment for learning in Canada,and lays the foundation for further exploration of the assessment for learning in primary and secondary schools;The second part describes the background of the formation of Ontario's Assessment For Learning of primary and secondary schools,including the current situation of primary and secondary education in Ontario and the reform of educational evaluation;The third part is an overview of the assessment for learning in primary and secondary schools in Ontario,including the goals and guiding principles,the source of the criteria,the source of evidence,the implementation process,the guarantee of,And the implementation effect and the development trend of Assessment for learning;The fourth part is the characteristics and enlightenment of the assessment for learning in primary and secondary schools in Ontario.First,it systematically summarizes the characteristics of the assessment for learning in primary and secondary schools in Ontario which is manifested in having clear and actionable evaluation process,paying attention to the overall development of individual students,focusing on improving teacher's evaluation literacy,and providing comprehensive guarantee system.Secondly,it deeply analysis of the difficulties of the implementation of the assessment for learning in China,including the teachers lack of evaluation literacy,backward student evaluation concepts,the lack of a favorable environment for schools,and the lack of evaluation policies;In the end,the paper putsforward the enlightenment from the practice of assessment for learning in China: multi-school cooperation to carry out teacher assessment for learning skills training;students change their ideas and play the role of main body in evaluation;encourage multiple parties to participate together to collect student information comprehensively;the government has introduced special policies to strengthen institutional support.
