With the gradual promotion of the Chinese textbook compiled by the ministry in the country and the proposal of the requirement of the 2017 edition of the new curriculum standard "the whole book study task group",the whole book reading has become a key study task that must be strictly implemented by middle school teachers and students.Since most high school students are keen on fragmented,recreational and superficial reading after class,it has little effect on the cultivation of reading ability and the improvement of Chinese core quality.Implementing the strategy of reading the whole book can effectively reverse these bad tendencies and make Chinese extracurricular reading more scientific and reasonable.The extracurricular reading list selected by teachers for students is more suitable for students of different school ages,which can improve students' reading ability,improve their reading habits,develop correct reading methods,form strict logical thinking,and optimize their writing ability,so as to ultimately improve students' Chinese core quality and promote their all-round development.This thesis consists of three chapters.The first chapter takes a dream of the red chamber as an example to discuss the teaching design of the whole book.This paper mainly focuses on the reasons for taking "a dream of red mansions" as the overall reading list,and discusses the teaching objectives,extracurricular reading planning,teaching design,teaching process and teaching evaluation of the whole book.The second chapter takes a dream of red mansions as an example to explain the teaching process of reading the whole book.Paper overall middle school language reading process can be divided into four stages: comb read a story in the early stage of import,deep exploration stage reading activities,extends thinking sublimation stage,summarizes the evaluation stage,the reflection at the same time,points out that these four aspects are interrelated and inseparable,only watching out for each other,to achieve a good reading effect.The third chapter mainly analyzes the problems and countermeasures that students have in reading the whole book.According to the thesis,there are three kinds of problems in students' reading.Low reading absorption rate and poor reading effect;Reading interest is not strong,reading perspective is narrow,etc.,these problems are not solved,the whole reading will be difficult to carry on.
