Along with the development of information technology,the political,economic and cultural ties between different countries is more and more close,time for people to understand cultural diversity,the consciousness of respect cultural differences and cross-cultural communication and cooperation ability put forward the urgent request,schools must implement the high quality of multicultural education of fine arts courses,to develop to adapt to the future of the multicultural background.Art teaching material is an important carrier of art curriculum content,an example of guiding students' cognitive development and personality construction,a bridge of communication between teachers and students,and plays an important role in the implementation of multicultural education curriculum.Therefore,it is necessary to study the current situation of multiculturalism in art textbooks.This research chooses the current elementary school art textbook of People's Fine Arts Publishing House as the analysis object.First of all,this paper analyzes the content selection and presentation characteristics of multiculturalism in textbooks from the perspectives of eight cultural themes: national culture,regional culture,national culture,gender culture,class culture,age culture,religious culture and special culture: this paper analyzes the content selection of multiculturalism in textbooks by counting the types and quantities of multiculturalism,and analyzes the features of multiculturalism in textbooks from the perspectives of cultural connotation,values and prejudice.Secondly,it examines the embodiment of multicultural education concept in textbooks,including the objectives of multicultural education in curriculum standards and the manifestation of multicultural education curriculum form in textbooks: the study found that the textbooks have well implemented the objectives and requirements of the curriculum standard,such as promoting students to understand the cultural diversity of human beings,loving the culture of the motherland and enhancing national pride,respecting the diverse cultures of the world,and understanding the cultural background and ideological connotation of the works;In terms of the course form,it adopts the mode of contribution and addition,the way of contrast and integration to explain the multi-culture,and trains the students' comprehensive ability through the column design.Thirdly,based on teacher interviews and multicultural education theories,the current situation of multiculturalism in textbooks is evaluated and the reasons are analyzed: It is found that the advantages of multiculturalism in textbooks are that the goal of multiculturalism education is well implemented in the curriculum standard,students are provided with the opportunity to contact with various cultures,students' cultural identity and consciousness of the Chinese nation are cultivated,students' understanding and respect for multiculturalism are cultivated,and students' ability of cross-cultural adaptation is cultivated;The existing problems include the imbalance of cultural types,the lack of comprehensiveness and depth in the culture of some ethnic groups,the existence of certain prejudices and stereotypes,and the lack of cultural options for students.Finally,in view of the above problems,this study puts forward suggestions on the compilation of elementary school art textbooks of People's Fine Arts Publishing House: textbooks should balance the proportion of some cultures,increase the cultural types of some ethnic groups,increase the written description of cultural backgrounds and connotations,attach importance to minority cultures and present their differences from mainstream cultures,and encourage the expression of diverse cultures in students' works and artistic practices. |
