Study On The Transformation Practice Of Resource-exhausted Cities

At present,the transformation of resource exhausted cities has become a hot topic all over the world.If the transformation fails,the city will go to seed.Therefore,it is critical for a city to conduct this transformation in the right way at the right time.This article aims to investigate the resource-exhausted city transformation and development.The object of the investigation is Zao Zhuang,the only designated experimental transforming city in eastern China.By analyzing the characteristics of Zao Zhuang and examining the problems faced by this city during the process of its transformation,this article will provide insights into the the issues related to transformation.The preface introduces the background and value of the topic,and discusses the current situation both inside and outside of China.This paper summarizes the concept of resource exhausted cities,defines resource-exhausted city and its transformation,and elaborates the resource-exhausted city transformation theories such as resource economics theory,sustainable development theory and circular economy theory.On the basis of definition,the paper selects examples from both China and other countries to find inspirations that can be applied to the transformation of Zao Zhuang.Zaozhuang is a typical resource exhausted city in China,after introducing the general situation of Zao Zhuang and its background of transformation,the provides a “swot” analysis of its transformation and discusses the “three battles” in the transformation of Zao Zhuang.The last chapter investigates the current progress.points out the existing problems and proposes suggestions to those problems.Finally,summarizes the experience of Zao Zhuang's transformation.
