Recent years,along with the globalization of economic development and the rapid change of information technology,the integration of the world economy has gradually taken shape.A large number of foreign organizations and foreign capital flow into China in recent 10 years.At the same time,Chinese organizations also keep absorbing and combining the latest capital,technology and culture in the wave of global economic integration.However,with the development of society and economy,more and more joint organizations do not adjust to the local market which causes a series of problems such as management conflict,contradictions with staff,the loss and waste of cost and resource.This situation has caused the joint organizations hard to survive in the circumstance of marketing competition.Different ideas?methods of management?the codes of conduct are usually related with different cultural backgrounds closely.People with different languages,habits,belief,the interests working together,can make the working environment complicated,and make the problems in management get more difficult.So the problems of cross-cultural management are getting attentions from all walks of life with the rapid trend of multinational organizations all over the world,especially in China.Joint organizations will be easier to achieve strategic target by dissolving the cultural conflicts and eliminating the barrier of culture and management.Under the background of internationalization strategy,to optimize the cross-cultural management and invent a characteristic way of enterprise development is not only the breakthrough of the traditional management model,but also the inevitable trend for Chinese organizations to reach the world.This paper starts with thorough studying to expound the connotation and basic theory of cross-cultural business management,such as the four main factors of Hofstede's cultural theory,R.T.Moran's Cross-cultural management organization theory and etc.Secondly,the paper analyzes relationship between management & culture and the influence of cultural differences on management.The subsequent description on solving related problems is based on it.Through the discussion of domestic and international cross-cultural management issues and case studies in the third part,the main existing problems and the causes of the conflict are summarized.A kind of cross-cultural management model-common management culture(CMC)is also be put forward.According to the Chengdu Research Institute of A University in Hong Kong where the author works in as an example,The forth part analyzes the problems of strategic decision-making,education concept,system construction,organization and staffs,which are caused by cultural conflicts,and to eliminate the cross-cultural conflict of cultural differences,the author also put forward a feasible cross-cultural management program,establish and improve the management system,optimize the organizational structure of enterprises,and provide a solid guarantee for cross-cultural integration.Based on the study of the theoretical knowledge,this paper has expounded the problems in the cases and offered specific solutions in order to utilize the knowledge of cross-cultural organization to solve the cross-cultural conflicts.Meanwhile,it also provides a theoretical reference for follow-up study on cross-cultural management.
