Thailand "Industry 4.0" Strategy And Policy Research

In today's world,the fourth industrial revolution is in the ascendant.It is another scientific and technological revolution following the steam technology revolution electric power technology revolution,computer and information technology revolution."Industry 4.0"refers to the industrial transformation and upgrading which is dominated by intelligent manufacturing and driven by interconnection technology.In recent years,ASEAN countries have formulated"Industrial 4.0" strategies and policies to promote the adjustment and upgrading of domestic industrial structure,in order to accelerate the progress towards the"Industrial 4.0," era.As the second largest economy in ASEAN,Thailand has become one of the first countries to introduce the"Industrial 4.0" strategy.Based on the theory of industrialization and the background of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,this paper elaborates the motivation of Thailand's implementation of the"Industrial 4.0"strategy,analyses the strategic objectives and policies of Thailand's"Industrial 4.0",explores the challenges faced by Thailand's"Industrial 4.0," strategy,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for China-Thailand capacity cooperation under the background of"Industrial 4.0".The full text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is an introduction,which clarifies the research background and significance of the paper,introduces the relevant concepts and theories of industrialization,domestic and foreign literature review,discusses the research methods and chapter arrangements of this paper;The second chapter is the background of Thailand's implementation of the"Industrial 4.0" strategy.From three aspects:the development process of Thailand's industrialization,the introduction of Thailand's"Industrial 4.0"strategy and the motivation of Thailand's implementation of the"Industrial 4.0"strategy;The third chapter is Thailand's"Industrial 4.0" strategic objectives and policy measures.Four strategic objectives,ten target industries,two major strategic projects and specific policy measures of Thailand's"Industrial 4.0"are elaborated;The fourth chapter:is the challenges faced by Thailand's"Industrial 4.0"strategy.On the basis of comparing Thailand's"Industrial 4.0"strategy with that of developed and developing countries,this paper expounds that Thailand faces a series of challenges in implementing the"Industrial 4.0," strategy;The fifth chapter is China-Thailand capacity cooperation under the background of"Industrial 4.0",analyses the status quo of capacity cooperation between China and Thailand,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for further expanding and deepening capacity cooperation between the two countries;The sixth chapter is the conclusion.In 2016,the leaders of China and ASEAN promulgated the Joint Statement between ASEAN and China On Production Capacity Cooperation,and the leaders of China and the five countries of the Mekong River promulgated the Joint Statement on Production Capacity Cooperation Among Lancang-Mekong Countries,which marks a new stage in the development of capacity cooperation between China and ASEAN.China and Thailand are at different stages of industrialization.The implementation of the"Industrial 4.0"strategy between China and Thailand has created a broad space for the development of capacity cooperation between the two countries.
