A Study On Comparative Advantages And Time Evolution Of Rice Production In Jiangxi Province

The proportion of rice yield is the highest in Jiangxi province.The size of rice yield represents the grain yield of Jiangxi province to a certain extent.Under the background of the fturther improvement of the importance of food security,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the comparative advantage level of rice production in Jiangxi province and its districts and municipalities for the rational planning of the distribution of rice production.Firstly,this paper analyses the basic situation of rice production in Jiangxi province.Secondly,it uses resource endowment coefficient and comprehensive comparative advantage index to analyze the change of comparative advantage of rice production in Jiangxi province based on provincial level and district level,and compares the results of resource endowment coefficient method and comprehensive comparative advantage index method.Thirteen grains in China are analyzed from time and space dimensions.The change of the comparative advantage of rice production in the main producing areas and cities in Jiangxi Province was concluded.Based on the above research process,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)During 2000—2017,the sown area of rice and the total yield of rice in Jiangxi province showed a trend of continuous decline first and then fluctuation upward,with a downward trend in 2000—2003 and a fluctuation upward trend in 2004—2017.From 2000 to 2017,the per unit yield of rice in Jiangxi province showed a trend of fluctuating first and then rising.It can be roughly divided into two stages.The first stage was 2000—2003,and the fluctuation of per unit yield of rice declined.The second stage is 2004—2017,the fluctuation of rice yield per unit area increased.(2)From the provincial level,based on the level of Jiangxi province,through the calculation of resource endowment coefficient method,it is concluded that the rice production in Jiangxi province has a strong resource endowment advantage in 2000—2017;through the calculation of comprehensive comparative advantage index method,it is known that Jiangxi province has a comparative advantage in the scale of production,and with the passage of time,the comparative advantage in the scale of production of Jiangxi province's rice.It shows a trend of gradual enhancement;while the comparative advantage of rice production efficiency in Jiangxi province is relatively deficient,but because the comparative advantage of rice production scale is greater than the lack of comparative advantage in production efficiency,the comprehensive comparative advantage index is still greater than 1,indicating that Jiangxi province has a comprehensive comparative advantage in rice production.Based on the level of 13 major grain producing areas in China,through the calculation of resource endowment coefficient method and comprehensive comparative advantage method,it is concluded that the rice production in Jiangxi province has strong resource endowment advantage and comprehensive comparative advantage.and ranks first.(3)From the point of view of Jiangxi province,through the calculation of resource endowment coefficient method and comprehensive comparative advantage index method,it is known that the regions with comparative advantages in Jiangxi province are in Nanchang,Yingtan and Shangrao,while the other cities with comparative advantages in rice production are relatively lacking.
