Research On Food Production Efficiency And Influence Factor In Anhui Province

Food security is a major strategic issue of overall importance to national development,social stability and people's lives.At present,under the background of increasing constraint pressure on cultivated land,fresh water,labor and other resources,the realization of a reasonable transformation of production factors from the previous extensive input to the optimization of resource allocation and the improvement of food production efficiency will play a decisive role in ensuring food security.As one of China's major food producing areas,Anhui Province has always had problems such as "the grain industry is large but not strong,and the grain output is sufficient but not excellent".Its grain sown area and comprehensive production capacity have always been among the top in the country,but the output level per unit area only ranks 19th in the country.Therefore,clarifying the current situation of grain production,quantitatively measuring the grain production efficiency and clarifying the key factors to improve the grain production efficiency will be of great significance to Anhui province in the future to realize "improving quality,improving efficiency,and sustainably increasing income ".This paper will first sort out the food production conditions,sowing area and output level in Anhui Province in detail,and make a horizontal comparative analysis with other major food producing areas in other provinces.The results show that Anhui province's grain production has made great progress compared with the past,but compared with other major grain producing areas,the yield per unit area is still at a relatively low level,and its production efficiency still needs to be improved.Secondly,according to the panel data of 16 cities in Anhui Province from 2003 to 2017,the author will build DEA-Windows model to quantitatively measure and evaluate the food production efficiency.The results show that the overall grain production efficiency in Anhui Province shows a fluctuating upward trend,and there is room for improvement in the future.The grain production efficiency in the three major regions of southern Anhui,central Anhui and northern Anhui all rose in a fluctuating manner,and the unbalanced regional development that existed in the past also gradually tended to be balanced.On the basis of efficiency measurement,this paper will establish a random effect panel Tobit model to carry out empirical research on the influencing factors of food production efficiency.The study found that the sown area of grain and effective irrigation area have significant promotion effect on the grain production efficiency.The continuous input of labor force and the occurrence of natural disasters will hinder the improvement of the grain production efficiency,but the total power of agricultural machinery and the amount of fertilizer application have little effect on the production efficiency.Finally,according to theoretical and empirical analysis,this paper adopts the following policy recommendations to improve the efficiency of grain production in Anhui Province.:Establish and perfect the land resources management and protection system;Continuously strengthen the construction of farmland water conservancy facilities;Further improve the agricultural disaster monitoring and response system;Accelerate the cultivation of new agricultural management subjects.Then establish a modern grain production system in Anhui Province to promote the high-quality development of the grain industry.
