Research On The Poverty Reduction Effect Of Financial Development In The Four States Of Southern Xinjiang

Since the convening of the 18 th National Congress,poverty alleviation has entered a new stage.As a contiguous destitute area in China,the four prefectures in southern Xinjiang have achieved an important guarantee for the establishment of a well-off society in Xinjiang.It is of great significance to the social stability and sustainable development of Xinjiang.The combination of various poverty alleviation methods is an important way for China to get rid of poverty in the new era.Among them,financial poverty alleviation plays an important role in providing financial services according to the needs of the population in poverty-stricken areas,with the aim of “hematopoietic” poverty alleviation and supporting the poor to form self-development capabilities.However,the imperfect construction of the financial system has led to the inability of financial resources to be effectively integrated with the factors of production,which has affected the poverty reduction effect of financial development in the four southern states.Based on the current situation of financial development and poverty in the four states of southern Xinjiang,this paper studies and analyzes the poverty alleviation effect and poverty reduction path of financial development in the four states of southern Xinjiang.Follow the process of “ problem raised – theoretical combing – poverty reduction effect and mechanism verification – policy recommendations”.This paper firstly sorts out related literatures at home and abroad,and then selects the county-level sample data of the four countries in South Xinjiang from 2008 to 2017,and uses the GMM estimation and mediation effect test to study the poverty alleviation effect and effect of financial development in the four southern states.Mechanism,and put forward corresponding policy recommendations for financial poverty alleviation in southern Xinjiang.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: First,the poverty situation in the four states of southern Xinjiang is more severe,showing a state of agglomeration.Second,under the influence of financial policies,a large number of labor transfer employment and agricultural modernization have been popularized.The awareness of living,investment and production and operation of residents in the four southern states has improved,but the level offinancial development is still relatively low.Third,there is a linear relationship between financial development and poverty alleviation in the four states of southern Xinjiang,and poverty has continuity.Fourth,the financial development of the four southern states can improve the human capital accumulation of the poor and increase the welfare of the poor directly to promote the poverty reduction;the financial development of the four southern states can pass economic growth and The mediating role of income distribution indirectly promotes poverty alleviation,in which the direct effect is less than the indirect effect,while in the indirect effect,the mediating effect of economic development is greater than the mediating effect of income distribution.
